JUARA SKINCARE MASKS

100_2202
I haunt Haute Look daily for the beauty, fashion and home bargains they have. One day I came upon a brand I had never heard of, Juara, that is an interesting brand of Indonesian skincare. They are 100% vegetarian, do not do any animal testing, the products contain no parabens, phthalates or sulfates. Since I am a mask and peel girl, I was interested in the mask listing that offered three masks: Turmeric Antioxidant Radiance Mask, Avocado Banana Moisture Mask and Rose & Willow Blemish-Free Mask.

The Turmeric Antioxidant Radiance Mask is a clay based mask. When first applied you feel a definite tingling feeling. The company claims that this mask will tighten pores and brighten the complexion with repeated use. I found that with even one use my skin was incredibly soft, not bright right away though. I like it. I found the tingling to be nice and the mask was very soothing. It retails for $35.00 (3.0 oz.)

The second mask I tried is the Avocado Banana Moisture Mask, which retails for $37.00 (4.0 oz.). Normally I don’t use moisture masks because my skin is not that dry but I said I might as well use this one. It is the type that you apply, remove excess and then apply moisturizer. It is not clay based. Even this mask tingles when applied. I found it to make my skin ultra soft and my skin is already pretty soft to begin with! It is very nice and I would recommend it for those who have dehydrated skin.

The third mask is the Rose & Willow Blemish-Free Mask. It contains natural salicylates and clay, which exfoliate the skin to prevent blemishes. Like the other masks, it tingles when applied. It is supposed to soothe the skin too, but I think that would be true only with really oily and blemished skin. However, I found that this one almost burns. If you have any sensitivity at all, I would NOT recommend it. I liked it but many many not. It retails for $35 (3.0).
The products are available at www.juaraskincare.com. Currently the website is running a special. You can purchase all three masks for $72.00. That is a savings of $35.00, which is the equivalent of getting one of the masks for free!
