Review: Maybelline Clean Express Makeup Remover

A couple of days ago I reviewed Maybelline’s The Flash Clean (Clean Express), and gave it a glowing review. I had mentioned that there was also a gel eye makeup remover in the display. I saw it at Wal-Mart when I was on my little expedition for the FLOWER cosmetics, so I nabbed it. It is a little less expenisve at Wal-Mart than it is at Walgreens of course, coming it at $4.97 instead of $5.99. I don’t really mind that at all, I just thought I would let you know.

DSC00629I think this has to be the best eye makeup remover I have ever used. Seriously. It is extremely easy to use, goes on easy and removes makeup in a snap. You put a tiny bit on a cotton pad, close eyes and then put it on your eyes. After just a few swipes your makeup is gone. I was even able to get my eyeliner under my eyes done very easily without getting it in my eyes. This is different than any other makeup remover. It is a gel. I like that, since most eye makeup removers are oil based and leave residue on the lids. There wasn’t any residue and all of my eye makeup was gone. Usually I have some leftover mascara in the morning that is under my eyes but I didn’t have any after using this. I am so happy I found this!!!!! I am thinking of hoarding it in case they stop making it. I hope they don’t stop making it!!!!!!

I know this is not a particulary long review, but it doesn’t need to be. The product is great. It works well. It’s not a lot of money. I think you would like it.

  1. I saw it too, the other day in Walgreens....did Walmart have the wipes, too?

    1. Yes, they did. It was hard to find them in all the mess though!
