Review: Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation

DSC00974DSC00975

Since I have been doing the series of reviews on the Ole Henriksen products I have had numerous people ask me to do more reviews of their products. They also love the reviews because the products speak for themselves: they are great products. The Ole Henriksen line of products actually do what they promise. A rarity I know, but well worth the money. What I love about them is kind of corny but is that you only need a small amount of each product for the purpose, making each product very economical. I don’t mind spending that much money on a product when I know it will last so long!

Today I want to discuss with you the sheer transformation cream that is the 3rd step in the nightly regimen for normal/combination skin that was put together in the 3 Little Wonders Box Set for the holidays. I did the review for the truth serum collagen booster (http://iamthemakeupjunkie.blogspot.com/2013/02/review-ole-henricksen-truth-serum.html) and the invigorating night gel (http://iamthemakeupjunkie.blogspot.com/2013/02/review-ole-henriksen-invigorating-night.html#). Both are exceptional products and I am finding great results with each. Sheer transformation is like the icing on the cake. This cream is oil-free and penetrates the skin to help fade darks spots and sun damage without the use of chemicals. It nourishes and retexturizes the skin, smoothing facial lines. It protects against further free radical damage.

The ingredients in the gel-cream that accomplish all of this are: ActiwhiteTM  (I cannot figure out what this after looking at the ingredients list. It is a proprietary ingredient that they have, it’s obviously for fading pigmentation) and licorice which prevent and correct discoloration, evening skin tone with a combination of pea extract and sugar. Vitamin C stimulates collagen production (this is one of the better ingredients for collagen production). Fruit acids (such as lemon fruit and orange fruit) exfoliate the skin and smooth lines. Sandalwood, geranium, licorice and chamomile soothe, replenish, balance and purify. Finally, Vitamin E heals, restores and nourishes the skin.

I have found that with everyday use, using just a tint amount, my skin is well moisturized, softer and more supple. I use all three of the 3 little wonders products: truth serum collagen booster, invigorating night gel and sheer transformation. By using all three together they work in harmony to make my skin look and feel younger. The amount of discolorations has greatly decreased, I still have freckles on my chin and under my eyes but my cheeks are much better. My skin is definitely soft as a baby’s bottom. I don’t have comedones (blackheads) anymore. Even at 41 I still had these around my nose and some on my chin. They have definitely improved a significant amount. These products are definitely better when used in conjunction with each other. I have never said that before about any skincare products. I used to never believe it. However, the Ole Henriksen line is somewhat special. I am a convert!!!!

Sheer transformation comes in a 1.7 oz./$45.00 and is available at www.olehenriksen.com, www.sephora.com, www.beauty.com,  and brick and mortar Sephora stores. The reviews on the Ole Henriksen website all average 5 stars. This system is great for normal to combination skin. And the price point is good since so little product is used. Often the company will have sets with smaller introduction sizes available on their website. Keep an eye out for those. It is a great way to get introduced to the products.

  1. Wow this sounds perfect for me!
Might have to invest, at the moment I'm trying out a few creams from Avon but they're just not working as well as I'd like.

    Great review!
