First of all, thank you to Hanzy ReginaPhalange, who tagged me!
When did you start your blog?
Late July 2011
Have you had any online presence before (Other blog, Youtube)
I have been working on computers since I was in college, late 1990’s. My pain online presence was in usenet.
Why did you start a blog?
I wanted to start a blog years ago, before blogs came about. I had this idea for a website where you review brands of the latest collections that came out, etc. But I had kids instead. So now, I am not working as an Esthetician at the moment and this is what I decided to do instead. I love every moment. In the morning I cannot wait to get to the computer and blog. I think that is a good sign that I have made the right decision.
When did you become serious about starting a blog?
I became serious in July of 2011, because I was in a bad place health wise. I have some health problems that keep me from working at the moment. So blogging is a natural choice for me. I can do it in a few minutes a day. I work as long or as little as I want and things still get done. It is the perfect job.
What was your first post?
My first post was a description of me and my huge, enormous makeup collection. My collection really needs to be discussed in a magazine such as Allure. It’s huge. Gigantic.
What has been your biggest challenge about blogging?
My biggest challenge has been getting readers and followers. I am still learning the ropes but now I am feeling pretty good about things. I am getting good “reviews” from other bloggers and that makes me feel good.
Where do you see your blog in one year?
In one year I would like to see myself have a lot more followers, more RSS followers, And I would like to have more contacts for reviews.
What is the most rewarding thing to you about blogging?
The most rewarding thing is being able to help out with acneic skin. I have always worked with acne and I like to help with people who have acne. It helps self esteem and self confidence. I want people to feel good about themselves. They deserve to!
What is the most discouraging thing that happens to you?
The most discouraging thing is not hearing back from people or people asking for help and then just disappearing out of thin air.
What is your lasting inspiration or motivation?
I think the nice comments I hear from people, saying that I have done a good job on a review. Writing is new to me and it helps to hear that I have done justice to the product.
