Glamour Doll Eyes Collection Inspired by Teri Brown’s “Born of Illusion”

If you don’t know the name Glamour Doll Eyes, you will soon. This independent makeup line has fun, funky mineral cosmetics that are bright, in style and affordable. The line is already a hit with many bloggers.

Glamour Doll Eyes (www.glamourdolleyes.com) is going to be releasing a beautiful collection inspired by author Teri Brown’s new book Born of Illusion. Teri Brown (www.teribrown.com), is a young adult author. Her book is about a gifted Illusionist in the world of 1920’s séances, mediums and psychics. Is she the illegitimate daughter of Harry Houdini or is it a sham cooked up by her mother? Born of Illusion is available for pre-order now at www.amazon.com and www.barnesandnoble.com.

The Born of Illusion collection has three lovely mineral eye shadows that are oh so pretty. Illusion is a shimmery white with just a hint of pink. Deception is a shimmery steel gray with opalescent pearl shift. Levitation is a somewhere between a shimmery cobalt blue with a hint of periwinkle shift.teri brown collection swatches

I must say that I am in lust with these eye shadows. This is the first time I have tried Glamour Doll Eyes mineral eye shadows and I am extremely happy with them. You can see from the swatches above that they go on very well dry or wet. In the photographs below I used them dry and I was able to achieve a great daytime look. When you look at the pigments wet you can see that they look so nice of course, especially Levitation. I used Too Faced’s eye shadow base underneath the mineral shadows and they lasted the full day without creasing or fading.

For the look below I used Deception in the crease. Then I took Levitation and used it in the outer edge of the lid and under the eye as liner (the blue made the eye brighten somewhat). Illusion was used on the lid and under the brow. For lining the upper lid I used a black liquid liner and then used a volumizing mascara. The look really made my eyes look large and I love it! It makes a nice daytime smoky eye without being too harsh. Perfect colors. These will sell out quick I predict!

Glamour Doll Eyes eye shadows are pure pigments and their products are not tested on animals. All of their colors are FDA approved for eye shadow use. The line has some very bright loose pigments that I am just dying to get my hands on!!!

The Born of Illusion set is $15.00. It will be released the 15th of May and is available only is full sized jars because it is a special edition. It may be ordered from www.glamourdolleyes.com.
