I found a great summer gem when I went to Ulta. An exclusive item for them, the LORAC GLOgetter Eye Shadow Palette, with a mix of 8 vibrant matte shades and shimmer shades and 2 over-sized neutral shades that can be used as base colors or highlighters. This is a perfect palette for summer because of the gorgeous turquoise and teal shades, the pop of purple and the lovely bronzes that you can use all over the eyes. So many combinations, so many ways to play! The best part is that this palette is only $20.00. You get 10 gorgeous eye shadows from LORAC for $20.00. How awesome is that? Scoop this up now!!!!
The swatches of the eye shadows went on pretty well. As you can see below, I swatched them on my inner arm, and they are fairly pigmented. The colors are as follows: matte chocolate brown, shimmery bronze, shimmery terracotta clay, shimmery turquoise, shimmery periwinkle blue, shimmery coconut, shimmery golden teal, shimmery purple, shimmery shell and matte sand.
I decided to use the LORAC GLOgetter Eye Shadow Palette for a summery look, even though the weather today was 55 degrees. In the crease I used the shimmery coconut and then used the matte chocolate brown in the outer edge of the upper lid and lined under the eye. On the upper lid I used the shimmery golden teal and under the brow I blende out the shimmery coconut with the matte sand. For mascara I used LORAC Multiplex 3D Lashes, but I am not too happy with it, I think for my lashes it did make them longer but it caused some clumps too. I lined with MUFE’s Aqua Liner #3 (shimmery dark gray). On my cheeks I used Bobbi Brown’s blush in Apricot. For my lips I used I used Inglot’s lipstick 106 (shimmery pink-apricot).
The LORAC GLOgetter Eye Shadow Palette is available at www.ulta and Ulta stores. This is a winner not only for quality but for color selection and price. I am always happy with LORAC products. Carol Shaw never disappoints!
