The Stuff You Need…May 10, 2013

DSC00103

Instead of many different reviews, I am going to do a post on some items I have purchased recently that I do without. This way I can do some mini-reviews and introduce you to the items you need instead. These are items that you could put in your rotation, for they are fabulous products. This is kind of like my “I Am THE Makeup Junkie” recommendations for the month!LORAC Natural Performance FoundationDSC00129

LORAC Natural Performance Foundation:  ($36.00), This oil, paraben and fragrance free foundation comes in 10 shades. It is great for sensitive skin, has olive leaf extract and Vitamin A to protect and soothe. The coverage lasts throughout the day! Goes on sheer at first and can be layered on for those who need more coverage. For me the best thing is that it comes in an extremely light shade, porcelain, which matches my pale complexion perfectly.

LORAC Touch-Up To Go ConcealerFoundationDSC00126

LORAC Touch-Up To Go Concealer/Foundation Pen: ($28.00) Comes in 12 shades, is great for travel. Use for concealer as a touch up or if you need to can be used as a foundation. The formula has Vitamins A and E, Acai Berry, White and Green Tea to promote a healthy complexion. It is suitable for all skin types. I have tried it as both concealer and as a foundation. For me, Fair CF1 was better off as a foundation color and a facial concealer. From the swatch above you can see the color is a little bit darker than my usual foundations. It covers well and is great for touching up during the day.

NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder

NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder: ($34.00) Enhances the look of foundation without color and prolongs the wear of makeup. Invisible powder is infused with Photochromatic Technology to diffuse light and adjust to new light throughout the day. Fine lines, wrinkles and pores fade away! This weightless formula is blends easily. Paraben and fragrance-fee. I think this powder is magic. Only a tiny bit is needed for the whole face. Somehow it makes all of the bad things on the face dissipate. Personally, if you have any oiliness it doesn’t last the whole day, you will have breakthrough in the T-Zone later in the day, but it won’t be too bad. I think this powder is better than MAC’s Invisible Setting Powder. And I love that!

NARS Radiant ConcealerDSC00122

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer: ($28.00) This concealer is coveted by artists for it luxurious texture and luminous finish. So pigmented and creamy. It evens skin tone and has lightweight to medium buildable coverage. This wonder product is enriched with hydrating skincare benefits and light-diffusing technology to blur imperfections and diminish fine lines. Paraben-free, fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, Only a small dab of this wonderful product is needed under the eyes to make dark circles disappear. There are 10 shades to choose from, even one for the palest of pale like myself. This concealer wears well all day long without wearing off.

So, these are just 4 items that I feel you should be thinking about buying. They are the top of the line items from their respective product lines. These are products that are worth every penny. LORAC is available from www.loraccosmetics.com, www.sephora.com, www.ulta.com and Sephora and Ulta stores. NARS is available from www.narscosmetics.com, www.sephora.com and Sephora stores.
