Review: boscia Cool Blue Calming Mask

boscia Cool Blue Calming Mask

Released just in time for summer, this mask will make your inflamed, red skin feel cool and soft. With their great success of the Luminizing Black Mask and the Bright White Mask, boscia introduces the Cool Blue Calming Mask. This mask is a multi-tasking facial treat that helps to sooth skin, refresh it and revitalize the complexion on contact, it reduces redness and irritation, also de-puffing and lifting the tired skin under the eye area. It is great for sunburn, windburn or a dry and irritated complexion. And it is great for general puffiness or after a night on the town to de-stress the skin. Cool Blue Calming Mask will calm down the skin and give it a healthy glow again.

boscia’s NEW Cool Blue Calming Mask has the following soothing ingredients:
  • Frescolat: a peppermint-derived botanical that naturally creates the
sensation of freshness and coolness without alcohol or menthol.
  • Sea Whip: this is a deep-sea-inhabiting coral and natural marine anti-irritant that
is known as the world’s most powerful anti-inflammatory
    extract.
  • Willow Herb: a great redness reducing ingredient, that effectively calms and
soothes the skin, making it one of the best skincare treatments for
    acne or rosacea.
  • Aloe Vera: a close match to our skin’s PH, aloe is a potent anti-aging
and regenerating agent. It expedites skin’s healing, collagen boosting
and moisturizing effects. It is also great for burns, such as sunburn and windburn.
  • Caffeine: A strong anti-oxidant which helps preserve youthful skin. It has skin-firming and collagen producing properties. It is also helps reduce redness and smoothes skin’s texture too.

Application Directions: Apply an even layer to clean, dry skin. Avoid eye area by applying below orbital bone. Avoid eye area, eyebrows, hairline and lips. Leave on 20 minutes or until completely dry. Gently peel off mask from outer edges. Rinse off any residue with warm water. Follow with moisturizer. May be used once or twice a week.

I used this not only on myself, but only daughter who got sunburned last weekend. For myself I wanted to try it and see how well it worked. My daughter didn’t want to be photographed with it on, but it did help the sunburn on her face somewhat (she had a minor burn). After I used it, my skin definitely had less redness (I have some redness on the cheeks and chin area.
This kind of mask is great for those who need any kind of soothing, such as with rosacea or if they have skin irritations. It is a great mask for acneic skin too. Those who suffer with acne definitely need a mask that will help sooth the skin. This will not add any oil to the skin but only moisture. boscia’s products are of the highest quality and I think this will work well with the Tsubaki Oil afterward, as that adds soothing ingredients to the skin also (http://iamthemakeupjunkie.blogspot.com/2013/03/review-boscia-tsubaki-beauty-oil.html). boscia’s Cool Blue Calming Mask (80 g/2.8 oz.) retails for $34.00 and is available at Sephora, www.sephora.com and www.bosciaskincare.com.
