Review: Balanced Guru Skincare

Balanced Guru

I, as many people, have become very interested in natural and organic skincare lately. With so many diseases and problems going on theses days it becomes important to find as many products as possible that are natural and will work in helping keep skin looking and feeling young. Balanced Guru is a group dedicated to keeping a balance between physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness and how it translates to all aspects of beauty in the world. They have created a product line that where you will be able to balance your mind, body, and spirit. They offer the finest certified organic choices that have been carefully formulated based on ancient eastern wisdom and modern scientific research. What is extremely interesting is that their ingredients do not involve the use of synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilizers. In order for cosmetics to be certified under the USDA Organic seal, these products must comply with all food standards and the USDA Organic seal assures consumers of the quality and integrity of organic products.

I was lucky enough to try the following two products, which I will discuss below:

Ageless Serum

Balanced Guru Ageless Serum

ORGANIC TRIPLE ROSE FIRMING SERUM

Rose, Helichrysum, and Neroli oils, three of the finest essential oils that can be used on the face, are   combined with Rosehip, Evening Primrose, Argan and Jojoba oils to make a serum that will help skin’s elasticity and firmness. Can be used with a light facial massage.

I found this serum to be more like a facial oil than a serum (serums tend to absorb quickly).  That isn’t bad though, as this is a nice facial oil to have on hand. Facial oils have become very popular now and I am happy about that. Oils are not bad for the skin. Even oilier skins can use facial oils. All of the ingredients in this serum are good for the skin. Rose (Bulgarian Rose), Argan Oil, Evening Primrose Oil and Rosehip Oil are well known as great oils to help with skin elasticity. Believe me, once you get past 40, elasticity becomes a major issue! This is best used at night before night cream or in place of night cream if your skin is very oily.

They also offer Ageless Cream ($60.00) and Ageless Potion ($65.00).

1 oz.  $85.00

Scrub Me Sweetly

ORGANIC AGAVE, LIME & RAW SUGAR CANE EXFOLIATOR

One of the best natural exfoliators is raw sugar, and the sweetness is balanced with lemon and lime for a thorough exfoliant. Agave ferment is added to allow dead skin cells to shove off but keep the scrub gentle enough for anyone to use.

Love this scrub! It is thick and I adore the citrus scent. It is great for all skin types, as sugar is very gentle on the skin yet can get rid of old nasty skin cells. This scrub has a plethora of natural oils and extracts, but they will not be able to penetrate in the amount of time left on the skin. Really, the sugar and citrus do all the work. Make sure to not add water until the end, as that dissolves the sugar. I recommend using 2x times a week for oilier skins and 1x for drier and sensitive skins.

4 oz. $35.00

Balanced Guru offers a full array of skincare products, I am also interested in trying their masques, of which they offer four (Calming, Moisturizing, Antioxidant and Astrigent). I am a huge fan of masks and believe they really help to clean out and calm the skin. They also offer hair care and body care products.

Take a look at what they have to offer, all of their products are organic, certified by the USDA as such. Nothing is tested on animals, no ingredients or their final products. The bottles and jars come from recycled materials as does the packaging. Balanced Guru also offers a limited edition Giving Back product line program, where you can customize products for a charity program, contact findbalance@balancedguru.com if you are interested in this.
