People often think of organic beauty as being less than spectacular. Granola. Well, I have a product here that will change your notion of organic beauty. Vapour Beauty has come along challenging our notions of what can be called beautifully organic. Krysia Boinis and Kristine Keheley had been working together for many years developing formulas for other brands. Eric Sakas, who was the President of Kevyn Aucoin Beauty, had been searching for the “next big thing” in the cosmetic world, came along and fell in love with a Vapour prototype. A brand was born!

Atmosphere Luminous Foundation is one of the better organic cosmetic products I have had the pleasure to try.This foundation is a stick foundation, designed for normal, dry, sensitive and mature skins. It is supposed to leave the skin looking radiant and glowing while making fine lines, wrinkles and pores disappear! The skin looks smoother and more even toned. This foundation is made with 70% Certified Organic ingredients and 30% natural mineral pigments and vitamins. Atmosphere Luminous Foundation infuses the skin with anti-inflammatory frankincense, anti-oxidant tulsi and moisturizing and calming lotus flower. It has a light to medium coverage, is lightweight and breathable finish that doesn’t feel heavy and it is also water and perspiration resistant. One of the best things about this foundation is that the stick makes application easy, so no tools are needed, just fingers!

As you can see from the swatch above, the Atmosphere Luminous Foundation goes on fairly “bright”. The finish is pearly because of the light reflective pigments in the formula. As I blend in the foundation though, it does smooth out and after I apply powder the foundation ends up looking quite nice! I consider myself to be the “Queen of Shimmer” and adore anything that will make me look more radiant, so this fits the bill. As my skin is a bit more drier now, I don’t mind having this kind of radiance on my face. If you want to tone it down, the coverage can be applied a little bit lighter. It is not a heavy foundation. If you want a heavier foundation from this line, try the Soft Focus Foundation, which has heavier coverage. If you have oily skin I don’t think this would be good for you, as it does tend to make the face look somewhat shimmery.
I like this foundation. It gives my face radiance, which at my age is always welcome! One can never have too much radiance. I am so glad I was able to give this one a try!
