Josie Maran is not only a supermodel (she was the Maybelline spokes model for years and still does many of their ads) and actress. She has started her own cosmetics and skincare line. Josie wanted an eco-friendly line that was luxurious, gentle and non-toxic. It was decided Argan Oil would be the focus of the line. Argan oil is an organically grown rich oil that comes from Morocco and can be used for hair, skin body and nails.
Recently I posted about my woes in brow maintenance and coloring. I was lucky enough to be able to try another product from the Josie Maran line, Josie Maran Argan Brow Marker + Argan Brow Powder. What is nice about it is that it is a double duty product. This handy pen has a marker on one end and brow powder on the other end. The marker side has a long wearing, soft tipped color that will fill in sparse brows. The other end has a complementary brow powder that helps to shape the brow, creating perfectly shaped and natural looking brows. Both ends are infused with Argan Oil, the powerful anti-oxidant. It comes in one unique universal shade.
The best way to use it is to take the marker and apply in small strokes to areas that are sparse or missing hair. With the powder end, start at the inside corner of the brow and apply light strokes, going up and outward to create a natural brow. I found this to be easy to use, the marker side has a long felt tip that applies well. The brow powder applies a little bit differently, the best way to apply it is over the marker and brows. What I like about this product is that it is two products in one. I wish their was more than one universal color, it does kind of adapt to your color but I would prefer a few colors for different hair colors. I think if you have very dark hair you might not be able to use this product. It is best for those with blonde, red/auburn and brunette hair colors. As with other Josie Maran products, this is without parabens, is fragrance-free, dyes, is cruelty free, is made with many natural ingredients and many organic ingredients.
