The Purgatory of Waiting on RiRi Fall...

I've been waiting for hours now to purchase the MAC Rihanna items. I got to the site at 12:05 and was promptly placed in line with over 1,000,000 other according to the woman on the phone when I called to complain that the site had gone crazy.

You are placed in a waiting area that refreshes every 30 seconds and hopefully you actually get to the area to order! At one point I did and promptly placed one of the quads in my bag. I tried to place more items but was unsuccessful.

I ordered it with some other items because I figured this might be the the only chance I get. I'm still checking every few seconds because I want the blushes too.

What bugs me is that I am in some sort of purgatory right now and they keep telling me about the Rihanna Holiday Collection. As if I had a chance....

I Am THE Makeup Junkie September Hit List: 5 Great Products You Should Try Now!

It is that time again to tell you about some products that are definitely worth spending your money on. Each month I am going to share 5 items that I feel you can’t live without! Here is the link for last month’s Hit List (http://bit.ly/18Ar61X), believe me, they are products that are unbelievable! I think you will love this month’s Hit List too!

The September Hit List:

Stimul8 Mud Instant Skin Transformation Treatment

stimul8

This organic, all natural vegan mud treatment is amazing. I love it and since I found the product on Twitter I have been expounding the treatment as much as I can because it rocks. I started using it to just clean up my skin every week but its best use it to calm my skin after peels. Yes, it works great as a calming agent after I burn all the skin of my face! I found the owner on Twitter and have learned many things about this product since I first started to use it. In fact, I believe it works much better than Glamglow. Yes, you heard me right. Stimul8 Mud Treatment is so much better than Glamglow that I stake my reputation as an Esthetician on it! In fact, I plan on doing a comparison review. You can see my original review here: (http://bit.ly/1698g52).

Stimul8 Mud Treatment may be purchased at http://gr8fulcouture.com/ in a 50gr / 1.7 oz. $70.00 It lasts for a very long while. The owner has plans for many more products and I think you will be very satisfied. Hourglass No.28 Primer Serum

Hourglass No.28 Primer Serum

This is the best primer ever. I mean it. It is a dual purpose primer and anti-aging serum that prepares skin for makeup and helps to keep skin looking young. It is so silky and goes on like a dream. Just one pump will do the entire face and even the neck. The “28” in the name refers to the luxurious formula that contains 14 essential oils, 10 lipid-rick plant oils and 4 vitamins. The serum nurtures skin with a blend of rejuvenating essential oils (lavender, geranium, rose geranium, vanilla, clove, orange peel, amyris, lemon peel, petitgrain, eucalyptus, rosemary leaf, bois de rose, cedar leaf, ylang ylang), plant oils (jojoba, rose hips seed, evening primrose, hazelnut, borage seed, kukui nut, sweet almond, green tea, olive, and cherry pit), and four vitamins (A, B5, C, and E).,How awesome is that? There are no parabens, sulfates, synthetics fragrances, synthetic dyes, phthalates GMOs or Triclosan. The serum is so silky that is feels like it has silicone in it but it is jus all of the oils in it. The formula is so hydrating and strengthen the skin’s natural moisture barrier, even out pores, and shield against environmental aggressors. It hydrates to create a beautiful surface for foundation, which goes on so smoothly and stays on all day long!

Hourglass No. 28 Primer Serum comes in a1oz. bottle and is $65.00, is available at www.hourglasscosmetics.com or www.sephora.com and SEPHORA stores.

Urban Decay Vice 2 Eye Shadow Palette

UrbanDecayVice2

I was drooling when Urban Decay announced the release of the Vice 2 Palette for the 2013 Holiday Season. This palette will be the one you want as a gift or the one you give to all your makeup junkie girlfriends. It is the end all be all of eye shadow palettes this season. Vice 2 has 20 new eye shadows and dual ended Karma brush. The shadows are soft, buttery and all are pigmented. I only had a problem with one and it was just slightly less pigmented than the other ones. They wear well, have little to no fallout and are on par with the regular UD eye shadows. Good job Urban Decay! You can read my review here: http://bit.ly/1fHYRoK.

The palette is $59.00 and it is definitely worth every penny! This palette can be found at www.urbandecay.com, www.sephora.com, www.ulta.com, SEPHORA stores, Ulta stores and Macy’s.

Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Hand Treatment

garnier dark spot hand treatment

I was very excited to try this out. I have noticed that as of late I am developing more aging in my hands, which is where it starts first. People neglect the hands because they forget to put sunscreen on them and hands tend to be in the sun more when you drive. So I definitely wanted to get some dark spot treatment going. I might start doing some peels on my hands too, just to really jump up the treatments. What the Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Hand Treatment does is it helps prevent future spots with the SPF 30 (Avobenzone 3%, Octisalate 5% and Octocrylene 7%)  and it treats spots that you currently have with Vitamin C. The Vitamin C “reduces pigmentation clusters and pushes new, healthy skin cells to the surface”. It can also be used on the chest to reduce sun damage that has become bothersome there. So far in a month I think it has done a pretty good job of helping to reduce some of the damage on my hands. You can see in the first photo that I had some pigmentation issues. In the second photo, one month later they have decreased somewhat. I don’t expect miracles unless I am using professional grade products, but this lotion has done a great job!

It comes in a 2.7 oz. tube and has a recommended retail price of $7.99. I purchased it at Wal-Mart. It is available at www.riteaid.com, www.ulta.com and other mass market retailers.

              SEPHORA Perfection Mist Airbrush Foundation

              SEPHORA Perfection Mist Airbrush Foundation

I am always on the search for the perfect foundation. I am super pale, have issues with a gazillion freckles and would just love a foundation to have perfect coverage that lasts all day after application. Guess what? I have found it! This foundation goes on so beautifully and you hardly even need an application sponge or a foundation brush to help smooth it out. I was lucky enough to get this foundation to try it out and it is now just about my favorite. You can read my review here: http://bit.ly/148PxYk. It comes in 5 shades and what makes me so happy is that the lightest shade is just about perfect for me! The microfine pigments go on like silk. And it lasts for 10 hours!!!!!! How awesome is that???? Even better, it is oil-free and non-comedogenic, so it won’t break you out! If you do need a brush, I recommend the SEPHORA Pro Stippling Brush or the Mineral Brush (http://bit.ly/17wHOnB). Both smooth it out beautifully.

The SEPHORA Perfection Mist Airbrush Foundation is $26.00 and is available on www.sephora.com or at SEPHORA stores.

So, this is my hit list for the month of September. I had to dwindle it down because there are so many great products out there! It is really hard for me too because SEPHORA is calling me to go in my dreams all the time! I would love to hear from you what you think of these products if you have tried them and I think you need to go and try these products.

              Monthly Beauty Box: CurlKit Review

CurlKit Monthly Beauty BoxCurlKit BoxCurlKit Demo

              CurlKit Products

CurlKit is a specialized service that takes natural hair products for ethnic and curly hair and gathers them into a monthly beauty box for you to try out. This eliminates the need for you to try out endless products that don’t work and are a waste of money. There is the CurlKit monthly beauty box and the CurlKit shop.

With the CurlKit beauty box you receive 6-9 large samples or full size products of great brands to discover so that you don’t have to sort through the endless clutter of all the brands on the market today. In each box you will find shampoos, conditioners, leave-in conditioners, pomades, body lotions, etc. What is also great is that there are a number of well known brands they work with and a number of hot, new, emerging brands on the market you will find in each box! In the Curlkit Shop you can purchase full size products of the items you sampled in the CurlKit box. If they are not available online, please check your box and the website for vouchers and information on where to purchase these items!

How much is the monthly beauty box? The subscription is $20 per month and you can cancel at any time. I was lucky enough to get to try out one of the boxes and I am going to discuss some of the products in the box. I have thick, coarse wavy hair and I definitely need to use products that cater to this type of hair. You don’t have to have ethnic hair to use these types of products and reap the benefits! I have always described my hair as that of a lion’s mane and it is kind of like a wild woman’s. So I was excited to try these items out.

Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Threat Invigorating Shampoo  2 oz. $3.49

              Giovanni Shampoo

The tea tree in this shampoo makes it tingle. Definitely invigorating for the hair and scalp. Tea tree helps to increase circulation to the scalp and will also help leave hair feeling fresh and clean. This shampoo has a three organic oil blend that helps to stimulate, condition and clarify the hair. Dryness and flakiness is a thing of the past! It is sulfate free. I usually don’t like tea tree but this one was okay, not too heavy and it has many other essential oils in it to help mask the odor. Lots of lather and it cleans well!

              Naturalista Juicy Leave In Conditioner

              2 oz. $7.99

              8 oz. $22.49

              Naturlista

This is an excellent treatment for chemically treated hair (colored, relaxed, tinted and permed). It can be used daily to help make hair stronger and is easily absorbed. It is not meant to be combed through, but is more of a styling aid. It moisturizes and leaves hair looking radiant. I like that it leaves my hair looking shiny. Which is great for red hair. You need that so it can look hot!

Oyin Hair Dew 2 oz. $3.49

              Oyin Hair Dew

Since I wash my hair every other day, I use this to help wake my hair up on the second day. It reinvigorates my style and makes my hair look fresh and beautiful. I wet my hair, apply and then boom! I have some fresh waves. Hair Dew is a nice leave-in that doesn’t make my hair feel greasy and can help my hair look fun the second day.

Caviar Curls Velvet Leave-In Detangler 8 oz. $13.99

              Caviar Curls Velvet Leave-In Detangler

This is a nice herbal detangler that helps prevent against breakage and provides great moisture to the hair. Organic ingredients help to smooth the cuticles and remove knots, snags and tangles for all types of hair. Perfect for hair right out of the shower. This helps to avoid frizz and is also great for kids who suffer from hair that gets knotted a lot.

              Curly Hair Solutions Curl Keeper

              Curl Keeper

A silicone free solution for frizzy hair. Use on wet hair to help out of control frizz. Comb through and then don’t touch! To restyle, activate with water. Dryness is the cause of frizz and this helps to keep moisture in the hair. I think it does a pretty good job of helping to keep frizz at bay. I suffer from the evil scourge that is frizz and I thought it did a great job!

Lustrasilk Curl Max Twisty Curly Spray 8 oz. 5.99

              Lustrasilk Curl Max

This has one of my favorite things in it, Argan Oil, which will help to keep curls springy, wavy and beautiful. It has an anti-frizz formula with an alcohol-free spray that give curls you can count on with a lightweight, long lasting and glossy shimmer. Very nice!

itiba papaya body lotion 2 oz. $3.99

              itiba papaya body lotion

This lotion is different. It is a 100% Aloe Vera based lotion with Jojoba, Avocado and Rice Bran oils. Panthenol softens and moisturizes the skin. Only a tiny amount is need. It sinks in quickly and doesn’t leave any greasy feeling on the skin. LOVE!!!!

What a fabulous box! There were at least two full size products in it and the other samples were very generous. I think that even though this box goes to a highly specialized audience, it is definitely worth the money for those who would want to try these products out!

Discover Some Fun! Sigma Beauty Crème de Couture Eye Shadow Palette and Blushes

Sigma Creme de Couture Eye Shadow PaletteCreme de Couture Eye Shadow Palette

(Crème de Couture Eye Shadow Palette)

When I discovered Sigma Beauty, I knew I discovered another beauty brand that is destined to be great. This brand puts out makeup that has the highest quality brushes and finest pigmented cosmetics. I am so over MAC. Ever since Estee Lauder bought them their quality has just dwindled to almost an unbearable level of hideousness that I rarely ever purchase from them any more. Sigma Beauty is going to be the new, hip brand along with Illamasqua and Inglot, I guarantee it!

This Fall/Autumn they bucked the Goth inspired trend and decided to play up the bright color flow with their Crème de Couture Eye Shadow Palette and Crème de Couture Blushes, all inspired by delectably sweet French macarons. The eye shadow set has 16 candy colored eye shadows, all matte shades (how devilish and irresistible!) while the three blushes are so different that anyone will be clamoring to get their hands on them. I just adore how different these are. The set is fun. So much fun. The eye shadows are soft, creamy and have very little to no fallout. They wear well all day long. The blushes are pigmented and look great all day without fading.

My Look With Crème de Couture:

I am a normal 42-year old mom in a normal universe. So I try to do looks that I could get away with in public and not have people stare at me. Those are always the basis for my looks. This look was just lets go do errands and doctor’s appointments! I loved that there was a brown and a brownish-nude shade. This way I had something to use in my crease. And I could use anything on the lid to liven up my eyes. I chose Passion Fruit in the crease (brownish-nude) and then Café au Lait as a liner under the lid and to use on the outer portion of the top lid. I also used it a little bit in my crease just to fake it so it looks like I actually have a normal lid. Then I used the beautiful Blueberry Cream blue on my lid, which looks great with the brown. I used Violet Whip (lavender) under the brow to bring the whole look together. This time I tried a new liquid liner, with an angle tip. I hated it. It was from Milani and every time I tried to place color on my lid it tugged and the whole thing looked awful. It ended up ragged and I thought this looks stupid. For mascara I used YSL’s Babydoll in black (LOVE). On my cheeks I used the Crème de Couture blush in Blackberry Essence to contour and then the Strawberry Ambrosia on the main apple of the cheeks. The look calls for a nude lip, Laura Mercier’s Bare Naked Lip Gloss.

These eye shadows and blushes are awesome! I love them and think that Sigma Beauty has done it again. The whole set is $55.00 right now. The eye shadow palette alone is $32.00, each blush is $12.00. Right now if you order from me you can use this code: LJW2013 and get 10% off through the 30th of September.

Expert Skincare Tips to Prep Skin for Winter

kimberly sampsonExpert Skincare Tips to Prep for Winter

              Hello,
Hope all is well! The key thing for preparing skin for colder months is to repair skin damage that may have been caused from longer days spent out in the sun.  In addition, making sure your skin is hydrated is also important in order to protect it from the cooler weather.

Kimberly Sampson, National Training Director for emerginC, weighs in on her favorite skincare tips for achieving winter-ready skin.  According to Kimberly, a great skin care regimen will include:

              1) Exfoliating to remove dead skin cells so “live” skin cells can receive the hydration, vitamins and antioxidants needed for healthy cell growth.

Kim’s Tip: Choose a sugar scrub or use your favorite exfoliator to help detox and purify  skin from post – summer sweat, heavy sunscreens and tanning lotions. The pre-dosed peels pads of natural fruit acids and botanical extracts will help improve skin tone and texture.

              2) Choosing a serum with antioxidants and vitamin C.

Our skin needs vitamin C all year for great skin health. Applied topically, vitamin C helps diminish the appearance of pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, as well as sun damage.
Kim’s Tip: emerginC uses one of the most stabilized forms of vitamin C, Stay-C ® 50, vitamin E, brightening plant extracts and soothing botanical oils,  in their vitamin C serums.  Skin will look radiant (and younger) with continued usage.

              3) Choosing a moisturizer that will help balance water and oil production to keep skin hydrated in colder weather.

Kim’s Tip: Try and choose a moisturizer that contains vitamin D (normally synthesized by our skin during sun exposure), this will help nourish and add moisture to the skin.

              4) Don’t neglect body skin.

Kim’s Pick: Try a body butter, they are a great skin protectant and super moisturizing in cooler weather and fall outdoor sports.

emergincemerginC products are available at leading spa nationwide and online via www.emerginc.com.

Review: Merlot Moisturizer and Merlot Moonlight Radiance Night Cream

I always try and find the best things to say when reviewing a product. However, I also feel that when I am given a product to review I need to honestly say how the product performs. And I also need to feel the need to give something back to the people who gave me the products. So it is a catch 22. This is the nature of blogging.

              Merlot Moisturizer

Red wine phenols are a popular ingredient in moisturizers at the moment. These anti-oxidants have the incredible ability to help inhibit the aging process. Used regularly, this Merlot Moisturizer Cream should be a good choice in fighting off free radicals that cause fine lines and wrinkles. It has an added SPF 15 from Zinc Oxide, a great mineral sunscreen that anyone can use. This moisturizer is light and non-oily, great for all skin types and can also be used to help prime the skin.

              4 oz.  $11.39

(courtesy of www.merlotskincare.com) Moonlight Radiance Night Cream

The Moonlight Radiance Night Cream contains peptides and grape seed anti-oxidants that help to combat fine lines, deep wrinkles and signs of aging. This formula helps to keep moisture in the skin and skins stays hydrated and looking healthy. It is also a lighter formula for all skin types, has no lanolin or mineral oil, restore’s the skin’s pH balance, ArgirelineTM helps reduce wrinkle depth and Matrixyl-3000TM works to restore the skin.

              4 oz. $13.40

The review below is a good honest look at these two creams. I liked them okay but I saw more of a difference with the night cream over the day cream I think. I am not sure if it is because there was not enough of the active ingredients or what. This is the second set of products I have tried with the active ingredient being red wine phenol. I used them for several weeks, as I usually do. I do like that they are very light and sink right into the skin. The Merlot Moisturizer day cream is okay as a light moisturizer and a primer but I would not recommend it for dry to very dry skins, as it is not heavy and emollient enough. The night cream didn’t make more of a difference in my skin. I am honestly one of those people who thinks that Matrixyl-3000TM doesn’t really do much for aging skin. The Moonlight Radiance Night Cream is also very light and absorbs right into the skin, which is nice but I would not recommend it for those with dry to very dry skins. They are nice enough to make light moisturizers and the ArgirelineTM is a good ingredient to have, it works well. I am not one of those completely convinced in the powder of red wine phenols yet. The price range is good. There are more products in the range: eye cream, microdermabrasion cream, etc. I am hoping that some of the other products perform as well if not better.

              Review: Savane Organics Skincare

              Savane Organic Skincare_Main

Savane Organic Skincare is a line of organic skincare from South Africa that is definitely on par with all of the better skincare lines that I have used. This line relies on indigenous plants from this country and blends ancient traditional knowledge with modern science to bring a unique line with botanicals in a very potent form. There are powerful anti-oxidants, deep penetrating essential fatty acids like Omega 3, 6 and 9 so the line can revitalize the skin and help prevent and protect against premature aging.Savane Organic Skincare uses only the highest quality natural ingredients that are certified organic by Ecocert (an independent certification agency). The products contain between 68 and 95% certified organic ingredients and are made of 99.9 to 100% natural origin ingredients. These products contain only a small amount of synthetic preservatives that help to keep the products stable and ensure great quality.

I was able to try all of their products from the skincare line. Below is a discussion of the line and how well the products work.

              Soothing Cleanser

              Savane Soothing Cleanser

              100 ml/3.4 oz. $42.00

Massage onto wet skin, rinse. Use morning and evening.

This is a great, gentle cleanser that smells wonderful! It takes off makeup and “grime”, purifies the skin without over drying it. It contains anti-oxidants like Rooibos to prevent free radical damage and Aloe Ferox to soothe the skin. It doesn’t “foam” up too much as it doesn’t have many detergents, but this cleanser is effective at its main job: cleansing. I like it and feel that it is a great cleanser!

              Gentle Exfoliant

              Savane Gentle Exfoliant

              50 ml / 1.7 fl oz $50.00

Gently massage onto moist skin. Rinse off with water. Use daily or every other day after cleansing. Personally, I think this is a great exfoliant that can be used daily. It is so gentle!

This is one of my two favorite products in the Savane Organic Skincare line. It is an amazing scrub that is gentle, effective and leaves skin looking like a baby’s! The sugar and the Rooibos flakes polish skin stimulating cell rejuvenation while Marula and Jojoba oils revitalize and soften the skin. It also has Frankincense essential oil which makes it smell like heaven!  This scrub is definitely one of the most gentle yet most effective I have ever used.

              Purifying Toner

              Savane Purifying Toner

              100 ml / 3.4 fl oz $40.00

To use spray onto cleansed skin, morning and evening. This is actually one of the only “toners” I like. It finishes the cleansing process and helps to set the pH level of the skin. This toner helps to refresh the skin with frankincense and rose geranium. This toner helps to protect against free radicals from sun, stress and pollution with the anti-oxidant aspalathin and and super-oxide dismutase found in Rooibos.

              Anti-Aging Lift Serum

              Savane Anti-Aging Lift Serum

              30 ml / 1.0 fl oz $90.00

Gently massage serum onto cleansed and toned skin morning and evening. Allow 1 to 2 minutes before applying moisturizer or face oil.

This is a great serum, and one of my other favorite products. It helps to soften fine lines and wrinkles. A potent blend of natural antioxidants like Kigelia will help to tighten and firm the skin and reduce wrinkles. Baobab, Rooibos and Buchu fight free radical damage, soothe skin, and even skin tone. A high dose of hyaluronic acid helps to open pores, promote deep penetration of these powerful ingredients, and keeps skin well hydrated. It contains grape seed extract, Vitamin E, chamomile, rose and other ingredients that are anti-oxidants and help to keep skin looking young and pretty! After using this for a month, my skin feels and looks absolutely awesome.

              Balancing Facial Oil

              Savane Balancing Face Oil

              30 ml / 1.0 fl oz $80.00

Massage onto cleansed, toned skin after serum. May be used morning and evening alone or in combination with moisturizer.

I have mentioned several times that facial oils are the hot thing right now. This has to be my favorite product in the Savane Organic Skincare line. It is a light oil that absorbs instantly for radiant skin and a silky, soft feel. This oil has a claim to restructure skin cells and restore suppleness. Essential fatty acids (omega) from Marula, Kalahari melon and Manketti oils maintain the integrity of skin cells and their natural barrier functions. Manketti oil with eleostearic acid provides natural sun protection. It is essential to have a good facial oil in your skincare regimen these days. This oil is a good one, as it covers many bases!

              Protective Moisturizer

              Savane Protective Moisturizer

              50 ml / 1.7 fl oz $85.00

Apply morning and evening to cleansed and toned skin after serum or facial oil., if you have drier skin. This is a great moisturizer for all skin types.

This moisturizer is ultra-nourishing. It blends Marula, Kalahari melon, and Manketti oils to help regenerate and revitalize skin. Antioxidants from Rooibos and Baobab protect against damage caused by free radicals. Manketti and Yangu oil contain UV screening properties. Kigelia firms skin and repairs photo damage caused by the sun. I found that it was a very nice product. When used with the serum it was not too heavy. When used with the facial oil (at night), it was heavy and I would only recommend this for very dry and mature skins.

              Nourishing Eye Cream

              Savane Nourishing Eye Cream

              10 ml/ .34 oz $35.00

Apply to under eye area, morning and evening.

This is a very rich, deep penetrating eye cream with extract if Kigelia that firms and tightens the skin around the eyes while anti-oxidants Rooibos and Baobab protect against free radical damage. Omega-3 fatty acids like Ximenia seed oil and Marula oil nourish and hydrate the skin. This cream is very heavy and is for those who have fine lines and need some repair. I found it to be a little heavy for me (it made my eyes watery), but I can see that it would work well for many.

The Savane Organic Skincare line is very nice organic line. Organic skincare is on trend and many companies are doing it as a way to put good ingredients onto and into our bodies. It is also sustainable. I would definitely recommend this line for normal, dry and mature skins. If you have oilier skin, it might not be for you as all of the products are a little bit heavier. But you could still use the cleanser, toner and exfoliant. These are not items that have to all be used together to get the greatest efficacy. The star products are the Gentle Exfoliant, Anti-Aging Lift Serum and Balancing Facial Oil. This is also a line that practices what they preach. Many lines these days are saying they are going organic, and Savane is around 90%, which is pretty good. It has been dubbed a “luxury” brand but personally I just think the products are in the range of a beautifully done skincare line that practices what it preaches.

Celebrity Hair Stylist Angelo David Pisacreta’s

Red Carpet Hit and Miss Hairstyles at the

              65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards

Celebrity hairstylist Angelo David Pisacreta has worked on celebrities ranging from Christie Brinkley to Kelly Rutherford, and helped many men and women get red-carpet-worthy looks. With the recent 65th Primetime Emmy Awards, hear who Angelo thinks looked flawless as they stepped on the red carpet, and who could have used a little help, as he discusses the hits and misses of the award’s red carpet hairstyles.

              Hits

Julianne Hough              Christina Hendricks                          Carrie Preston

              juliannahough

              christinahendricks

              carriepreston

Julianne’s hair is stunning. There is a balance between being playful and sophisticated that is appropriate for the event.  The subtle waves are enough to make an impression, but works to help draw attention to her flawless makeup.

Christina’s red carpet hair is the epitome of a classic bob with a twist. The overall look of the hair creates a beautiful frame for her face.  I love the transition from smooth going to tight finger waves curls. The style definitely suits her face.

These side swept curls took over the red carpet, and Carrie worked it well. You can see the glow from her recent Emmy win with this look. I love the vibrant red color, because it complements well with her skin tone and dress.  The hairstyle was subtle but not too overpowering, creating a lasting impression at the red carpet

              Misses

Zooey Deschanel                   Lena Dunham                             Kelly Osbourne

              zooeydeschanel

              lenadunham

              kellyosbourne

Although this is Zooey’s signature look, it is starting to get a little boring. I love a retro look, but the hairstyle is too dated for me

Lena’s hair appears too flat and not flattering at all. The bangs are too short and feel incomplete, especially when compared to her vibrant makeup and gown.

I love Kelly’s pastel hair color, but the style is somewhat clashing, instead of working, with her dress. The hairstyle is simple enough, but it just didn’t work with her overall look.
