I am lucky enough to be able to bring you the gorgeous, jewel tones of The Evening Opulence Collection from Revlon for Fall/Winter 2013. I have not seen such a rich collection of plums, emeralds and wine tones used in a color story in such a long time. This collection is rich in color and is not timid. It is a celebration of makeup, bringing together a dazzling palette that will be sure to light up your face and make your nails sparkle. Gucci Westman, who dreamed up the collection for Revlon, pictured a luxurious and polished woman who used makeup to accessorize and enhance her look with bursts of color. The woman is sexy, sensual and smart. A modern woman who makes the look her own and makes it timeless. This collection is a VIP pass to full-fledged glamour and color. Give sparkle to your night! Live a colorful life and don’t feel afraid to use color.
The Evening Opulence Collection:
The Evening Opulence Collection includes a cornucopia of rich jewel tones. There is the PhotoReady Primer, Shadow + Sparkle in Muse ($9.99), the Revlon Nail Enamels in Rich, Divine, Seductive and Elusive ($4.99), the ColorBurst Lip Butter in Provocative and Invite Only ($7.49), the Color Burst Lipgloss in Embellished, Bejeweled, and Adorned ($7.49) and the PhotoReady Kajal Intense Eye Liner + Brightener ($8.99).
I tested out all of the items except the lip butters and two of the lip glosses. I will say that this collection is definitely different and fun!
This is a photo of the items I was able to test out!
PhotoReady Primer, Shadow + Sparkle in Muse. Such a pretty combination. When used on the eyes it yields a beautiful sparkle that is kind of hard to see on camera but livens up the whole eye! There are three purple shades: a light sparkly lavender, shimmery eggplant and a dark rich wine. Then at the bottom you can see the primer, which is a beautiful sparkly mint. Next to that is the sparkly forest shade.
PhotoReady Primer, Shadow +Sparkle Muse swatches. See how much the shadows sparkle!!!
PhotoReady Kajal Intense Eye Liner + Brightener in Carbon Cleopatra. A deep black on one end that is soft and lines very easily. The other end is a cream shade that brightens up the waterline to make eyes look huge!
ColorBurst Lipgloss in Embellished, a deep wine shade that goes on sheer and can be layered for more coverage. I prefer the lighter shade on my skin tone. I like this and love the other pink shade that they have this season (hot pink and there is also a light pink shade too).
ColorBurst Lipgloss in Embellished, a deep wine that is able to build in coverage
The four, rich shades of nail enamel that are part of the collection.
Revlon Nail Enamel in Rich, a golden-silver. My favorite!!
Revlon Nail Enamel in Seductive. The darkest merlot.
Revlon Nail Enamel in Divine, a rich reddish copper.
Revlon Nail Enamel in Elusive, a green with sparkles and it dries matte
My Look With the Evening Opulence Collection: I strive to make my looks natural, so that anyone can do them. I am not fancy or out of this world with my makeup. I am a PTA mom! I loved the eye shadow, eye liner and didn’t have problems with anything except the lip gloss. Even with a lip liner it still just had a little bit of a problem at the top lip with application. They have a doe foot applicator that eases application but when you apply dark colors it is harder to get even application sometimes. Other than that everything was perfect. I was surprised that Elusive nail enamel was a matte sparkles formula, and is interesting though!
This collection is a very nice collection. I have given you a lot of pictures because I wanted you to see the details of how beautiful it is. All of the Fall colors are leaning in this direction and Revlon has really come out with a winner. This collection is in mass market retailers now. I have seen it going fast and will sell out!
