A Comparison of boscia Cleansers: Which One Is Right For You? #boscia #cleansers

boscia skincare happens to make some of the best cleansers on the market. I have four here that I am absolutely in love with and have personally tried. There are also four others that are available that I have not tried but will include in this summary because I want to discuss the full gamut of the boscia cleansing line.

boscia Konjac Cleansing Sponge  $18.00:

boscia konjac cleansing sponge

This sponge is derived from the Konjac root that has grown Asia and was introduced in Japan over 1,500 years ago for its detoxifying powers. This sponge is a great cleanser and detoxifier. It gently exfoliates and lifts impurities from the skin, balancing it for a flawless complexion. It is so gentle it can even be used on the eye area! Even those with extremely sensitive skin can use it without fear. And it is biodegradable and sustainable to boot! The best thing about it is that it can be used with or without cleanser. boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser 5 fl.oz./ 150 mL $28.00 $28.00

boscia detoxifying black cleanser

The Detoxifying Black Cleanser happens to be my favorite cleanser, bar none. It cleanses like no other and leaves skin feeling baby soft, exfoliated and absolutely perfect. I think out of all the beauty box samples, this has to be my best sample/discovery yet. It warms upon contact to dampened skin. It has an herbal scent that is 100% artificially fragrance free. When you first see it, the cleanser is black. It is viscous and that is due to the glycerin as the main ingredient. It has a gel like consistency that spreads well.

The cleanser is supposed to brighten skin with the help of Vitamin C and dissolve any pore-clogging impurities, which would be accomplished with Glycolic Acid. The dark color comes from charcoal, which also helps to draw out any sebum and help to detoxify the skin. Jojoba Leaf gets rid of free radicals and is anti-aging. Artichoke Leaf Extract tightens the pore walls. Finally, willowherb acts as an anti-irritant to calm the skin and reduce inflammation and redness. See my review: http://bit.ly/1ltfEQC

boscia MakeUp BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil 5 fl.oz./150 mL $28.00

boscia makeup-break up cool cleansing oil

Great for all skin types, this cleansing oil instantly dissolves makeup and impurities while decongesting pores. It does not leave any oily residue on the skin. The cleanser is very gentle to the skin and is so easy to apply, just pump into hand and apply on dry skin. Massage onto the face in a circular motion. Rinse clean. It is recommended to follow with Balancing Facial Tonic (or any toner that is good for your skin type). I love that even though this is an oil cleanser, it does rinse clean and does not leave skin feeling oily. In Japan, women are accustomed to using a two-step cleansing system. First they use an oily cleanser to get off makeup and then they use a cleanser that will actually cleanse the skin. boscia has done something wonderful here, they have taken the need for the second step out and made it so the cleanser rinses perfectly clean, taking makeup and impurities with it. Skin is left feeling baby soft and not dry or oily at all.

boscia Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel 5 fl.oz./150 mL $28.00

boscia tsubaki cleansing oil-gel

Coming in a close second, this is my next favorite cleanser. This oil-gel emulsion cleanser is formulated to remove makeup and impurities while protecting the skin’s moisture barrier. It leaves skin feeling smoother and baby soft. Smoother than before cleansing? Yes, you heard right. Skin feels better than prior to cleansing. Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel is packed full of the anti-oxidant Tsubaki Oil (camellia oil) and other botanicals that help skin feel more smooth and soft. It is for all skin types. Apply one or two pumps to damp skin and massage in a circular motion. Rinse clean. Notice the softness. Should be used morning and night.

boscia Konjac Cleansing Sponge with Bamboo Charcoal $18.00

boscia konjac cleansing sponge with charcoal

A new counterpart to the original Konjac Cleansing Sponge, the Konjac Cleansing Sponge with Bamboo Charcoal is great for those with acne. The pore-perfecting sponge is infused with bamboo charcoal to cleanse and exfoliate. It delivers smoother, softer and brighter looking skin all while minimizing pore size and getting rid of blemish causing bacteria. Konjac root has been in use in Asia for 1500 years now. It absorbs debris and impurities. Bamboo charcoal absorbs toxins and impurities leaving the skin healthier and stronger. The sponge can be used with or without cleanser. It is recommended that it be replaced every 2-3 month.

boscia Soothing Cleansing Cream 5 fl.oz./150 mL $26.00

bocia soothing cleansing cream

This sulfate-free cleansing cream, rich in botanical extracts and emollients, does a great job of removing makeup and impurities all the while strengthening delicate skin. It is great for normal to dry, combination and aging skins. Soothing Cleansing Cream works best when applied to dry skin. Massage gently to break up makeup and work in circular motions for 1-2 minutes. Then rinse clean with lukewarm water and follow with bosia’s own Balancing Facial Tonic. Can be used morning and night.

boscia Pure Cleansing Gel 5 fl.oz./150 mL $26.00

boscia pure cleansing gel

Pure Cleansing Gel is a sulfate free cleanser and makeup remover derived from amino acids to help deep cleanse and wash away impurities from the skin. It is great for all skin types. To use dampen the face with water, then apply a small amount of the cleanser to the palm and add a little bit of water. Rub cleanser in palm to make a lather and gently massage on the face in circular motions for about one minute. The rinse with lukewarm water and follow with Balancing Facial Tonic. It is recommend to be used morning and night.

boscia Clear Complexion Cleanser 5.0 fl.oz./150 mL $26.00

boscia clear complexion cleanser

If your skin is oily or problematic, then Clear Complexion Cleanser is a great choice for you. This refreshing cleansing gel purifies the skin and refines pores to help maintain a clear complexion, all without causing any irritation to the skin. To use, pump a small amount onto the palm rub hands together to form a lather then apply in circular motions. Rinse with water and follow up with Clear Complexion Tonic. It is recommended to use this cleanser morning and night.

I hope that this has given you some great information on boscia cleansers. Their cleansers really are some of the best on the market. Why have 8 different cleansers in one line? Because there are so many different skin needs. My personal favorite, the Detoxifying Black Cleanser, is great for all skin types but is not one that everyone would want to use. That cleanser is one that a lot of people would love though, once they give it a try. The best cleanser for all skins is their new Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel, it is great for all skins and cleanses extremely well. I think is is one of the best cleansers to hit the market in a long time.  Soothing Cleansing Cream is perfect for dry and sensitive skins. All of their cleansers are excellent. If I had a skincare line, I would look to boscia as inspiration.
