cocotique monthly beauty box

As you know I am a big fan of the monthly beauty box. A box filled with beauty goodies that comes to our door each month allows us to sample many different companies that we would not normally get to try out. There are so many companies popping up with themes and specialty boxes that it is hard to keep up. That is why I like to try out some of the different boxes and keep you posted on which ones are the best ones to get subscriptions for.

The Cocotique Monthly Beauty Box is geared toward, but not limited to, women of color. Each month you will receive 5-6 curated deluxe beauty and lifestyle sample sizes from companies that specialize in skin care, hair care, fragrance, nail and lifestyle. The companies are well known. Some of the companies are: Black Opal, c. Booth, Carol’s Daughter, La Fresh, O.P.I., Pretty Toes, to name a few. As an extra added surprise, there will be one subscriber that will get the Bonus COCOTIQUE Box! The Bonus box will include a gift certificate for a special gift like a collection of full size beauty products, clothing, shoes, jewelry, beauty appliances and other premium items. This is something that is special to Cocotique and is not done anywhere else. A monthly subscription to Cocotique is $20.00, 3 months is $58.00 (save $2.00); 6 months is $112.00 (save $8.00) and 12 months is $220.00 (save $20.00). Refer a friend to the program, leave product or box reviews and you can earn rewards such as free boxes.COCOHearts Rewards Program. Cocotique also has all the products available for sale in a shop on their site. So if you find that you fall in love with a product you can purchase it quite easily. Every month they also honor black women who are bloggers, called CocoBelles.

Chef Roble Ali Cocotique Beauty Box

I received a sample box from Cocotique to try out. This box was curated by celebrity chef Roble Ali. The box was a collection of food inspired beauty products. In the box was:

  • Carol’s Daughter Macadamia Finishing Shine Spray (Full Size $18.00/ 3 fl.oz.)
  • BeFine Fine Food Skin Care (cleanser, scrub, masks and moisturizers in one box prices vary)
  • c. Booth Honey Almond Nourishing Bath and Body Wash (Full Size $7.00/ 16 oz.)
  • Clo-Vee Products Pomegrante and Orange Organic Shea Butter Body Butter (Full Size $16.50/4 oz.)
  • O.P.I. Lacquer San Francisco Collection Knead Sour-Dough (Full Size $9.00/15 mL)

There are at least 3 full size products in the box. The Carol’s Daughter, O.P.I. and BeFine items are all full size products. The others are deluxe sample sizes. On the website I saw what came in the February box and it was a collection of full size products and deluxe sample sizes. I tried out the products that were sent to see how I liked them. The Carol’s Daughter Macadamia Finishing Shine Spray is great for frizzy hair. It can be used on any hair type, which is great. BeFine products are also great for any skin type. This box is an example of items that are great for just about anyone.

The February box was devoted to Sisterhood & Women’s Empowerment, in honor of Black History Month. Cocotique was inspired by the many black women in the beauty industry who paved the way for women in the industry and in the world. The box contained products from brands owned by or inspired by women of color.

I think this is a great monthly box and is worth the monthly price of $20.00. The brands are all well known beauty brands that you would want to use. I think that if you are inclined to subscribe to a beauty box then this is one worth getting a subscription to. The Cocotique beauty box subscription is available from www.cocotique.com.
