Review: SEPHORA Upside Down Mascara #SEPHORA

SEPHORA Upside Down Mascara_black

One day I was in SEPHORA looking at their brushes. I happened upon this odd looking mascara. I picked it up and thought, this has to be some medieval torture device! SEPHORA’s Upside Down Mascara has a dual brush and functions 3 different ways. It is not your usual mascara in the least. The reviews it has on the website are actually not that good. But I took those with a grain of salt, because honestly, this happens to be one of the best mascaras I have ever used. It creates volume, curls & lengthens and defines all in one!

There are multiple ways to use this and you can use each at once or either depending on how you want your lashes to look. I happen to have mid-length. light almost invisible lashes. So I generally want more length and volume from my mascara. So for me this is great because I don’t have to use two different mascaras to get a good look. The reviews claim that this formula clumps a lot. It does have a tendency to clump some but the best way to avoid this is to brush the comb off on the rim as you are taking it out of the tube. Problem solved. Getting rid of the excess mascara is always the easiest way to avoid clumping.

Volume: Take the dual brush and use one on top of the upper lashes and the other brush on the bottom of the upper lashes. This is the easiest way to get what they call the ultimate 360° of lash volume.

Length and Curl: Close the dual brush and use it on the top lashes for the ultimate in long lashes and to create a wide eyed, long lash look.

Define Lower Lashes: Use the lower brush on the lower lashes to create definition. Wiggle brush around for best effect.

To get the best bold lashes, use all three techniques. I love this mascara so much that I included I in my February #HitList: http://bit.ly/1f1DzP1. You can see in the photos below that my lashes are extremely long and lush. The photo on the far left shows eye shadow and no mascara. The photo in the middle shows me wearing mascara and eye shadow together. The photo on the far right shows my eye closed with mascara and eye shadow. It is evident that this mascara makes a huge difference in my lashes and I think it is one of the best I have used!
