Review: boscia Revitalizing Black Hydration Gel #boscia

boscia revitalizing black hydration gel
I have mentioned before that I am a huge fan of boscia skincare. With good reason. Boscia takes a product and really targets it to a certain purpose and does what it needs to do. There is no fluff, no muss and the product gets the job done.

The Revitalizing Black Hydration Gel is a cooling gel moisturizer that provides ultra light hydration as it refines skin texture, it the brightens skin and minimizes the look of pores instantly and over time. It contains activated charcoal to absorb excess oil, impurities, to detoxify and exfoliate the appearance of pores. Artichoke leaf extract also reduces pore size by increasing skin elasticity so that the pore wall is less likely to stretch and retain debris. It inhibits hyperpigmentation and brightens the pore wall so that it decreases the appearance of the pore. Glycolic acid improves the skin’s appearance and texture of the skin by helping to get rid of the upper layer of the skin’s epidermis. Vitamin C, in the form of ascorbyl glucoside, brightens the skin tone and minimizes fine lines. It also defends the skin against free radical damage. Pomegranate enzyme is an anti-oxidant that provides excellent free radical protection and reduces blackheads. Licorice root is an anti-oxidant that helps to calm the skin, soothe it and conditions the skin. It helps to reduce hyperpigmentation and minimizes the appearance of dark spots by helping to inhibit melanin synthesis. There is also the proprietary botanical blend of jojoba leaf and willowherb are included in all boscia products. Jojoba leaf is an excellent anti-oxidant that protects against free radical damage and nourishes the skin. Willowherb helps to calm skin inflammation and reduces redness and irritation.

I have been using this hydrating gel for a few weeks now. I adore it. Not only is there an intoxicating herbal aroma that is present with all of their ‘black” products, but after application it sinks right into skin and immediately makes it feel softer, super hydrated and extremely wonderful. I have used this gel in the morning and also at night. The recommendations for use are 1-2 pumps in the AM and in the PM. It is the perfect accompaniment prior to a moisturizing cream. It is recommended for all skin types, as it is a gel formula and can be perfect for oily skin or dry skin. It really does help to keep skin feeling soft and lovely. As for pore size, pores, once stretched out, are hard to get back to an invisible size. However, the way this gel works does give it a shot. It is the angle the way they approach it versus the way other products approach the problem. Artichoke leaf helps to make the pore more elastic and glycolic acid helps to get rid of the layers of the epidermis. Both of those can make the pore appear smaller looking. If you are having issues with pore size and/or need some hydration, this is the perfect product for you!

boscia Revitalizing Black Hydration Gel (1 oz./30 mL) retails for $38.00 and is available from www.boscia.com, www.sephora.com. and SEPHORA stores. 2. I went to a spa today and funny thing is the masseuse made mention of Glycolic acid and it's benefits. This is also the second Boscia product review I have come across. Going to looking into that particular line and see what's of interest to my problematic skin.
