Review: Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF 50 #DermalogicaDefense

This is a medium weight daily moisturizer that contains a new type of SPF. The SPF accelerates from 30 to 50, yet uses 50% less chemical sunscreen agents. This is made possible through advanced Oleosome technology, which are naturally occurring spheres of emollient oils and Vitamin E found in Safflower seeds. These molecules deliver active ingredients such as sunscreens directly to the skin surface and release them over time to ensure maximum benefits to the skin. Dynamic Skin Recovery also reduces hyperpigmentation and has a patented polypeptide that helps to stimulate collagen synthesis. It also has White Tea (an anti-oxidant) which has polyphenols that keep collagen from breaking down, helps neutralize free radical and inhibits lipid peroxide formation. This moisturizer was formulated without any artificial fragrances, colors or parabens. The sunscreen ingredients are avobenzone 3.0% and octinoxate 7.5%.

I found that this moisturizer, even though it is listed as a medium weight product, is not that heavy at all. It goes on quite easily and sinks right into the skin. I love the fact that the sunscreen goes from a 30 to a 50. I do prefer a higher dose of SPF whenever possible. Anytime a sunscreen is involved it is important to remember that at least a SPF of 30 is the minimum required to work the best and last the longest. Reapply after 80 minutes in the sun. It is also important to limit time in the sun between 10 am-2 pm. Dermalogica has a great product here and I think this is an excellent product to use under makeup or as a standalone product.

This product comes in a 1.7 oz. bottle and retails for $65.00. Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery is available from http://bit/ly/DSRSPF50.
