Review: L’Occitane Bonne Mere Collection #L’Occitane #BonneMere

(photos courtesy of www.loccitane.com)
The L’Occitane Bonne Mere (good mother in French) is the new Fall collection of bath and shower items meant for ages 3 and up. It is a collection of gentle daily care for the entire family. Each formula is hypoallergenic and pH neutral, made without any parabens or phenoxyethanol. The items have a delicate perfume of either white mallow milk or honey (who doesn’t love honey!). Each product comes in a generous size, using environmentally-friendly vegetal plastic bottles. The collection was inspired by the “Good Mother”, an emblematic figure of Marseille, Provence, who has inspired their soap making traditions for over 20 years. I was able to try out two items from the collection, the liquid soap and the peach shower gel. Below are my thoughts about each item.

Bonne Mere Liquid Marseille Soap 16.9 fl.oz./500 mL $20.00

L'Occitane Bonne Mere Liquid Soap
This liquid soap was Inspired by the secret know-how of master soap makers. It is made with natural plant oils (sunflower seed oil, coconut oil and olive oil) and is free from any colorants or perfume. What is so nice about it is that it cleans skin and keeps it soft, naturally. I wash my hands many times a day. Liquid soap is mandatory for me. I have used many, many brands and most, if not all, make my hands crack. I like this formula, it leaves my hands feeling clean yet soft without having to moisturize them all the time. I also like that it comes in a large enough bottle so that I do feel I am getting a good value for my money. You do not need a huge amount of soap to wash with either, just one pump will do the trick. This soap is economical, making is a great value. I am very happy with this product.
L'Occitane Bonne Mere Peach Shower Gel

Bonne Mere Peach Shower Gel 10.1 fl.oz./300 mL $14.00

This shower gel is enriched with a peach extract. It cleanses the body and perfumes it with a fruity but delicate fragrance, making you feel as if you were transported to a mid-summer peach picking day in the orchards of Roussillon, Provence. Dermatologist tested, this is a great shower gel for any age. It has great foaming bubbles, so not much is needed, making it very economical and a great value. This also comes in Honey, Lemon, Olive and Rosemary scents.

The Bonne Mere collection also has soaps in Linden, Lavender, Rose, Verbena, Honey and Milk scents. There is also a Creamy Hand Wash available in Honey and Milk scents (I would love to try this out!). A collection of items called the Perfect Summer Valise ($42.50)and Voyage en Provence ($29.50) collection are available and would make great gifts. See my review of the Divine Youth Oil (http://bit.ly/ZsSxxb), which is great for anti-aging.
