Jurlique has recently come out with a new line of facial skincare that uses Biosome5 technology (special extracts of horseradish, mulberry, glycogen, peppermint and rosemary) to target sagging skin, fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, uneven texture in a multi-benefit anti-aging range. The line has three products, a Retexturising Facial Serum, a Multi-Correcting Day Cream and a Rejuvenating Overnight Cream. The products, used together, will target these symptoms of aging skin to help fight them, making skin look and feel younger. I used the three for over a month to see how they would do. My skin, suffering from the first signs of aging, definitely needs anti-aging skincare to help it look younger. I have uneven tone, texture and the beginnings of fine lines.


Nutri-Define Superior Retexturising Facial Serum 1 fl.oz./30 mL $120.00

This is a very silky smooth serum with a ground-breaking formula. It specifically targets sagging skin, wrinkles, deep lines, loss of elasticity and dehydration. The formula has the anti-aging powder of plant actives with Biosome5, ginseng root extract and licorice root extract. Extracts of mulberry and horseradish help improve luminosity and hydration. A firming and contouring complex helps to boost the skin’s luminosity and moisture levels for an instant soft focus luminosity, re-texturing the complexion for a radiant, ageless look. Skin feels and looks re-contoured, re-defined and re-energized.

After using this serum, skin definitely feels softer, smoother and looks better. It has a radiant “glow” that makes it look much better than prior to its use. Skin feels firmer and is more moisturized. This is a very nice serum. Use 2x daily, one to two pumps over face and décolletage for best results. This serum sinks right into skin, leaving it feeling soft and plump.

Nutri-Define Multi-Correcting Day Cream 1.7 fl.oz./50mL $98.00

An ultra-rich essential day cream featuring essential fatty acids and liposomal technology that protects skin. It is infused with botanical oils to mimic skin’s natural lipids and restore natural balance. Biosome5 technology improves luminosity and hydration to help skin feel firmer and smoother. It helps reduce signs of wrinkles and other signs of aging skin. It reduces the effects of environmental aggression and fatigue. Rapeseed oil is an excellent anti-oxidant and a source of essential fatty acids with high levels of omega 3, 6 and 9. Squalane oil prevents moisture loss from the surface of the epidermis. 

Take a pearl size amount, warm up between hands and press onto face. I like this cream a lot but feel that it would be better if it had a mineral sunscreen in it. A day cream that is an anti-aging product should always have a sunscreen. I know that someone could always use one in addition but should not have to. This cream has great ingredients in it and works well at hydrating the skin. It does restore the lipid barrier and helps to keep skin feeling hydrated all day long.

Nutri-Define Rejuvenating Overnight Cream 1.7 fl.oz./50 mL $110.00
This intense moisturizer is a multi-tasking overnight treatment. It helps to restore elasticity and firmness, resulting in a more rejuvenated complexion. This cream has Biosome5 technology to improve luminosity and hydration, cupuacu seed butter to restore deep moisture and artichoke leaf extract to help skin feel strengthened and appear more defined. Skin will feel replenished, re-invigorated and rejuvenated. I use this after the serum and skin is left feeling soft, moisturized, restored and definitely rejuvenated.

After a more than a month of use I noticed that my skin looks great, has never looked better. I think that the serum and night cream are definitely to thank for this. The day cream is also very good. I just wish it had a sunscreen in it, because I have to use one after using it and then my skin feels like it has too much on it. Otherwise, I love this range. Having to come to terms with aging is hard. Seeing yourself in a new light is difficult. But, slowing down the clock can be done.

Just out are some new antiperspirants that go on dry, last for a full 48 hours and are perfect for those of us who need a lighter, more efficient way to stay dry without any residue on clothing. Unilever, who makes the following labels: Dove, Degree and Axe, has come out with a great technology: Dry Spray Antiperspirant! This is a must have for someone like me, who does not perspire a whole lot but hates that deodorant/antiperspirant gets all over my black clothes. This stuff goes on completely dry too! I can also skip a day if needed. It is perfect for those with sensitivity issues, as it is tough on sweat and soft on skin. 

I tried out two formulas, Dove Dry Spray and Degree MOTIONSENSE Dry Spray Fresh Energy. My husband tried out three of them, Dove Men+Care Dry Spray Clean Comfort, Degree MOTIONSENSE Adventure and Axe White Label Night. All of these have the same 48 hour care and dry spray technology that allows them to go on dry, stay dry without leaving any residue on your clothes. So, do they deliver the promises set forth? Let’s see!

Dove Dry Spray 48 hr. Antiperspirant 3.8 oz./107 g $6.99

This deodorant/antiperspirant has notes of apple, citrus mixed with a floral powder cream. It sprays on instantly dry to deliver wetness and odor protection with the nourished care of Dove. This spray lasts 48 hours so you can even skip a day! I found that this works great. I love how well it works for me. I don’t perspire a lot in the winter or even that much in the summer, so I find that it works quite well for me. I love how it does not leave any residue on clothes. My daughter (who does perspire more all year round) found that this one did not do it for her. She complained that she did have perspiration leak through. I would say this works well for those who have light to moderated perspiration issues.


Degree MOTIONSENSE Dry Spray Fresh Energy 3.8 oz./107 g $5.99

This is definitely a more powerful antiperspirant as it works with body movements to respond and release extra protection when you move. It lasts for 48 hours too and goes on dry instantly for a clean feel. I tried the Fresh Energy scent, which is a great fresh and light scent that should work well for anyone. Since I don’t perspire as much, it did work great for me but I wanted my daughter to try it too. She found this one worked better than the Dove Dry Spray as she perspires more than I do. She loved this one! It does seem to help as you perspire more. There are other scents: Shower Clean, Sheer Powder, Sexy Intrigue and Peach Burst.


Dove Men+Care Dry Spray Clean Comfort 3.8 oz./107 g $6.89

.This features a clinically proven and non-irritating formula that is tough on sweat and gentle on skin. It goes on dry for a cleaner feel and has 48 hour odor and wetness protection. As with all Dove products, it contains 1/4 moisturizing technology. This gives skin total comfort. My husband tested it out and he works hard as a contractor and perspires a lot, even in winter. He found that this did not work the entire day for him. He does have sensitive skin and loved how this did not make it irritated. This is definitely not a winner.



Degree MOTIONSENSE Dry Spray Adventure 3.8 oz./107 g $6.49

This is a new and superior way to get odor and wetness protection. The spray goes on dry and has 48 hour protection to keep you dry. As the body increases adrenaline that is released in perspiration, it responds to release extra protection when needed. MOTIONSENSE even responds directly to body movement, releasing extra protection when you move. My husband tried it and liked it better than the others. He found it kept him very dry and his sensitive skin was not affected.


AXE White Label Dry Spray Night 3.8 oz./107 g $6.99

This is the first ever Dry Spray antiperspirant from AXE. It is an entirely new way to stay dry. It was specifically designed to go on instantly dry with no visible residue. The spray keeps you fresh and protected from perspiration for 48 hours. The Night fragrance features grapefruit, lavender, cedarwood and praline notes. It also comes in Forest, Island and Air scents. Out of all three that my husband tried, this is the one that he liked the best. I think it was the scent that he liked the best. He said that all of them kept him dry but the scent that AXE has is very nice. I have to agree with him on this one. It is sexy. It is definitely something I would like to have him wear more often.



The new Dry Spray Antiperspirants are great. The price range is acceptable and you only need a small amount when spraying them on. They last for 2 whole days, so that also helps in keeping the price at a good level. I love how good they are. I think this is the best technology for keeping perspiration at bay that I have ever seen so far. For me these work great. I think that I will only be using these from now on and I know that they will be a big hit with the public. The main reason I love the Dry Spray technology is that there is no residue left on clothing. For me that is a great thing because I always had white residue on my black shirts. I am so happy to have this taken care of from now on. I also love that they work for 48 hours and can skip a day if I need to. I am so very happy that I was able to discover these new products! These antiperspirants are available at mass market retailers nationwide such as Walgreens, Rite-Aid, CVS/Pharmacy, Wal-Mart and Target.

I have mentioned many times that I love facial oils. They can be used on any skin types and are great for hydrating dry skin, keeping skin moisturized and helping to keep skin looking younger. Mad Hippie has a very nice Antioxidant Facial Oil that is made from many oils that are great at hydrating skin all while protecting it against photoaging.

This Antioxidant Facial Oil contains preservative free ingredients that help keep skin looking younger, which is a great way to naturally moisturize skin. Argan oil provides a non-comedogenic hydration to skin while naturally occurring triterpenoids help heal scar tissue, reducing inflammation and protecting skin. It also contains 80% essential fatty acids as well as naturally occurring Vitamin E. It helps to moisturize and revitalize skin. Sea buckthorn berry is rich in Vitamins A, B, C, D, E, K, P, carotenoids, flavonoids, phenols, folic acid and fatty acids. Strawberry extract is another antioxidant rich berry that has UV protective effects on the skin. Goji berry contains 18 vital amino acids, zinc, selenium, phosphorus and vitamins B1, B2, B6, C & E. Review: Maybelline FIT Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation #Maybelline #FitMe

A couple of years ago Maybelline came out with FIT Me Foundation, which was a huge success for them. Just a couple of weeks ago they came out with a new version, FIT Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation. This is a great new foundation that promises matte skin and a poreless look. Does it deliver? YES!
Immediately upon application skin is matte and pores disappear. Skin looks amazing. I have this in 110 Porcelain which is a perfect match for my pale skin. 

I love how the coverage is too. This foundation has perfect coverage that is medium to heavy buildable coverage. You can start out with the medium coverage as you like and build up to heavy coverage that is as smooth as silk on the face. Skin looks amazing and completely beautiful! This foundation is best for Normal to Oily Skins. It looks great on skins that are oilier in nature but also looks good on normal skin. I have some issues with pore size and it makes them disappear immediately upon application.

I am very happy with how well this foundation wears throughout the day. It does not streak, fade or have any issues at all. It goes on smoothly, dries to a matte finish and wears like a long-wearing foundation would. I think this is a wonderful addition to the Maybelline line up and if you like matte foundations and have issues with pores this is PERFECT for you! This foundation also came out with FIT Me! Matte + Poreless Powder. This foundation is available now at various Walgreens.

I love how this oil just sinks into the skin. I have used it on my face for my dry skin and on my hair too. My hair is damaged from coloring so it does need some TLC. The best way to use this oil on hair is to use as a pre-shampoo treatment. Apply a generous amount to hair then leave on for around 15 minutes, shampoo and rinse out. Hair will be so soft, shiny and you will not need any conditioner or really any styling products. It can also be used after shampooing as a conditioning treatment. Apply to damp hair, then place a towel over hair. Leave on for 30 minutes. Shampoo and rinse. Hair will be shiny and soft. Style as usual. Use as an anti-frizz treatment too, just apply a small amount to damp hair and work throughout hair. Style as usual. For skin, apply on skin after cleansing and let sink in prior to moisturizer. Can also be used on any area of skin that need extra moisture, such as elbows, knees or feet.

Review: Lip Gloss With Built In LED Light and Mirror

I tried out a really cool new lipgloss recently. It has a LED light built into the cap and a small built-in mirror on one side of the tube. This gloss comes in four versatile shades: Champagne (nude shimmer), Confetti (sheer pink shimmer), Glitz (pink shimmer) and Passion (brick red shimmer). My favorite shade is Champagne, as it fits my color profile. I love nude lips and this one fits in exactly with how I love to wear my lipgloss. The only shade that does not have a large amount of pigment is Confetti and that is because it is a sheer shade.

The Solid is a wool blend that 5 colors: Black, Red, Charcoal, Purple and Navy. It allows you to still keep your fingers on your device while staying warm. The Invisitouch fabric is concealed in the entire glove and allows use of the hand to use your phone or tablet without any ugly metal pads, cut off fingers or even any silver threading. The soft wool blend material keeps your hands warm while you use your phone in style. These gloves work with any capacitive touchscreen devices such as iPhone, Android/Galaxy, iPad, Surface, and Windows Phone. Thick screen protectors may reduce sensitivity however. 


One of the best features about these gloves is that they are hard to lose. They have magnets hidden in the logo to keep gloves together thanks to the proprietary “maglove” technology. This allows for the gloves to stay together to prevent loss. The care label is made of a microfiber cleaning cloth material, which allows you to use it to clean the smudges off of the phone. How cool is that?!?!?! Glovely provides a touch guarantee. Their gloves are guaranteed to work with your touch screen device for the lifetime of the product. If a product's touch capability ever fails, even after extended use, they will, replace the product or offer a credit for the purchase price for use with any other product on their site. This warranty does not cover damage to the gloves though. Care of the gloves is done through hand washing them in cold water. Never use bleach and do not tumble dry the gloves. 

I love how much thought has gone into this product. Not only do they actually work but the product goes way beyond normal duty. The maglove technology built into the gloves and the microfiber care label for use in cleaning phones tells me that this company has thought long and hard about how to care for its customers. This is a great product. I tested it out thoroughly and I am able to use it all the time. I can completely use my iPhone with the gloves on without any problems. The gloves fit very well, I wear a size large. I also like how well they keep my hands warm. The wool blend is definitely not itchy. I feel they are worth every penny. I also think that the other choices are nice and would make great gifts for people, or as a good choice for yourself. The gloves have patent pending technology. These are excellent gloves. Much better than any other gloves I have worn to date.

Review: ULTRALUXE Skincare Line #ULTRALUXE

ULTRALUXE Skincare is a high end skincare line that is used and sold in salons and spas. I was lucky enough to get to try this it out. This line is a luxurious skincare line with products that work. It was developed by Israel Dakar, an engineer. He has developed over 100 award winning products that are beloved by Estheticians, editors and influencers worldwide. Count me in as one of the Estheticians that now love the line. 

ULTRALUXE products are made with botanicals, essential oils and the latest technology that is available today. The Tri-Peptide, Synake and MircroVenom formulas allow clients to enjoy the benefits of luxury spa treatments in the luxury of their own homes. All of the products are free from harsh chemicals, artificial dyes, sulfates, zinc oxide and petrochemicals. The products are coral-reef safe and are cruelty-free.

I had samples of these products that lasted a few days. Usually when I test products I test full sizes and have used them for at least 2-3 weeks and can give you results for that length of time. So, this review will be based on usage for up to 4-5 days of use. I can say that with use of that length of time I did see results with most of the products.



Nourishing Wash 4 fl.oz./120 mL $45.00
This is a daily cleanser that hydrates skin and purifies it at the same time. It gets rid of pollutants, excess oils and makeup. The cleanser is rich in anti-oxidants,  is soap-free and is formulated with a blend of pomegranate, rosemary leaf, verbena extract and nourishing essential oils that leave skin clean and glowing. I like how this cleanser smells and how it leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. It definitely gets rid of makeup, dirt and debris. The best way to use it is to wet skin and massage in then rinse it off. 



Triple Action Organic Scrub 3 fl.oz./90 mL $49.00
Get rid of excess skin cell build up and residue. Linipack seeds help to do three things with this scrub: deep cleanse skin, polish skin and brighten it up. Rosewood, frankincense and green tea extracts infuse nutrients to help purify the skin, leaving it clean and velvety smooth. I just love how my skin feels so soft after using this scrub. It is definitely one of the better scrubs I have ever used.



Enzyme Peeling Cream 1.75 fl.oz./51.75 mL  $48.00
This is a product used in every ULTRALUXE facial and you can use it at home too! Enzyme Peeling Cream prepares skin for maximum results with serums and moisturizers. It eliminates the build-up of impurities on the skin and in the pores. Pumpkin enzymes and cardamom extract help to gently remove dead skin cells and sebum from clogged pores. It reveals fresher, softer skin with this non-abrasive sloughing cream. I like this product as I am a sucker for anything that gets rid of extraneous skin cells. This does a great job with the enzymes. It is not harsh at all. I think that this is a good product for any skin type and is great to prep skin for the entire regimen.



Active Mask 1.75 fl.oz./51.75 mL $75.00
Masks are a great way to get active ingredients into skin quickly. This mask can help achieve professional results at home. The rich and nourishing Active Mask is perfect for dull, dehydrated or mature skin. A breakthrough tri-peptide technology helps to diminish and prevent the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It contains marine algae extract, papain (from papaya), oat protein, bitter orange and neroli essential oils that are added to help exfoliate dead skin cells, to hydrate skin and help soothe it. Use weekly to restore skin and leave it looking plump, smooth and younger looking. I think this mask is a great one, even if your skin is not that “dull”. It definitely helped mine and I felt my skin looking younger, brighter and hydrated. 



Retinol Renewal Serum 1 fl.oz./30 mL $120.00
This is my favorite product out of all of the ones I have tried. It is a special, super age fighting serum. This serum fights fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, discoloration and enlarges pores by exfoliating dry and damaged skin by expediting skin turnover. The exclusive Advanced Retinol Delivery System™ prevents retinol breakdown that happens due to sun exposure, allowing for maximum absorption in the skin. I love this serum, and felt it working quickly. I had a sample that lasted a week and it definitely worked within that time frame. My skin looked a lot better, smoother and younger. Love this!



Micro Venom Eye Lift‘ Complex .50 fl.oz./15 mL $82.00
Tired Eyes get a lift with the rich and potent anti-aging eye cream. Made with the exclusive MicroVenom formula, it features a wrinkle smoothing Synthetic Snake Venom and rejuvenating Apple Stem Cell Technology. My eyes did look a little bit better after using this for a few days.



Cellular Patch Cream 1 fl.oz./30 mL $155.00
Fight off the biological clock. This is a revolutionary repairing and preventative treatment. Using an exclusive Acid Free Exfoliator Technology™, this cream helps to improve the appearance of skin’s texture, clarity, elasticity and firmness without any irritation. Apricot kernel, sweet almond oil, shea butter, and green tea extract work synergistically to help achieve smooth and luminous skin. This is a good product if you are experiencing lack of firmness in your skin. It will help to repair skin’s texture and firm skin all without any irritation and any acids!



Micro Venom Hydrating Day Complex 1.75 fl.oz./51.75 mL $86.00
Have skin glowing all day long with the silky anti-aging moisturizer. The exclusive MicroVenom formula features the wrinkle smoothing Synthetic Snake Venom and rejuvenating Apple Stem Cell Technology. This is a nice moisturizer, but I prefer one that has a sunscreen in it too. They have one with sun protection separately, which to me seems redundant. I tried this for a few days, I would need to try it for a full month to see any major results. Just by the ingredients I can say that this would definitely make a great anti-aging moisturizer. It should help with fine lines and wrinkles, smoothing skin and making it look younger.



Micro Venom Hydrating Night Complex 1 fl.oz./30 mL $88.00
Youthful looking skin can be achieved while sleeping. This intense anti-aging moisturizer has the exclusive MicroVenom formula featuring the smoothing Synthetic Snake Venom and rejuvenating Apple Stem Cell Technology. It is great for those that live in cold, dry weather. As I mentioned, I only had a small sample. It would take a month of use to see results. I do think that this is a good formula though. 


I was very happy with the ULTRALUXE samples that I tried. This is a great skincare line. I am glad that I was able to get to try this line out. My favorite product was the Retinol Renewal Serum, I am a big fan of Retinol, as it does work to exfoliate skin in a gentle yet effective way. That is one way to help you look younger. Some people do not want to use acids and so Retinol can be an alternative. The MicroVenom products are also good choices. This is a line that I think you should get to know. They do have professional Estheticians that can give you consultations for which products you can try out or I can help you with that.
