Although this is coming just past the holidays, I feel this is a great product for the winter months. The clinical strength Jan Marini Holiday Exfoliator is a great product to keep your skin in shape throughout the winter months as it has a cranberry orange scent and a limited edition holiday box. It immediately refines skin texture and follicle (pore) size leaving skin looking radiant and smooth. The texture exfoliates the skin with its spherical dissolving bead technology, proteolytic enzymes and glycolic acid. It also contains potent anti-oxidants to help combat free radicals and give you a glowing complexion.
The key ingredients in this product are glycolic acid, papain from unripened papayas and bromelain from pineapples; all of which are chemical means to slough off the skin. Spherical beads are mechanical means to get rid of extraneous dead skin cells. The spherical beads used in this product, as well as the enzymes and glycolic acid, work to reduce excessive abrasion that is normally associated with exfoliating scrubs. It is a more gentle method of exfoliation. This product creates a smooth canvas for makeup application, so it should be used just prior to your regimen. It can also be used prior to skincare treatment application, as it will help products sink into skin and work better with extraneous skin out of the way. The cranberry orange scent is a nice treat too! This product is paraben-free. It works well on normal, dry oily and acne prone skin.
To use, apply an even layer on wet, clean skin using circular motion for approximately 15-30 seconds. You may experience mild tingling or stinging. Gently remove with a damp washcloth and blot dry. Can be used up to 3x per week, in the morning or evening. Follow with your regular skincare products. I like to leave it on a little bit longer to make sure the enzymes are cleaning up the dead skin cells.
