emma ratajkowski_MTW AwardsCelebrity Makeup Artist Jo Baker created a dewy and fresh beauty look, to complement Emily’s fun and playful, green dress at the MTV Movie Awards.

“I started off by slathering a nice amount of the Black Rose Cream Mask all over Emily’s clean skin for 10 minutes. This wondrous formula is the ultimate pre-red carpet luxury skin treat. Smoothes, softens and hydrates the skin in minutes! I also patted a small amount of Eye Contour Mask around Emily’s orbital bone- this thick gel formula plumps fine lines and reduces puffiness leaving eyes totally refreshed” says Baker.

“A generous scoop of Nutritive Lip Balm revives and nourishes like no other. I like to put it on at the start of the prep to soften skin. With Sisley skincare doing the hard work for me I was able to opt for Sisley's Tinted Moisturizer (#4) instead of a foundation. This lightweight tint, loaded with cucumber soothes and calms any redness and evens out any imperfections without masking them. I gently applied a couple of swipes of L'orchidée Hi-Lighting Blush upwards over her upper cheekbones. This creates a radiant and fresh faced skin on Emily and I decided to leave out blush completely.”

“On Emily's eyes I decided to keep it simple. This pea green statement dress really needed to be the focus and the makeup complimentary. I chose to add Phyto-Eye twist in Bronze on the inside of her eyes. I applied it back and forth a couple of times in her waterline until some of the liner had wiggled into the roots and lower lash line creating extra drama and intensity. Shade Bronze is softly metallic -the perfect amount of smoke, taupe and subtle gold pigment makes this a must have for any eye color!!  I kept the eye lid completely bare but added several layers of So Intense Thickening Fortifying Mascara. The rich gel like formula builds volume and length easily while the tiny comb brush allows for easy foolproof close application! Emily's has amazing natural brows, and today with minimal eye makeup I wanted them to show off. With Sisley Eyebrow Pencil in Cappuccino and short flicking motion added some depth and shape at the middle and edge of brows.”

“Lastly but most definitely decided first, the lip. The green dress is so strong and vibrant that I wanted something to add a soft feminine element. The winey/plum toned Phyto Twist #5 was ideal to add subtle color without over doing it. Emily wanted a low maintenance lip that looked and felt casual. These fruity toned Phyto Twists feel delicious on. No weird stickiness with these balm-like beauties! They go on smooth and creamy with just the right amount of color. Emily and I worked on the lip together. Once applied I asked her to smudge it in with her finger for a natural lip stain look” says Baker.

Baker used the following products for Emily’s red carpet look:
