Review: Mad Hippie Cream Cleanser #MadHippie #creamcleanser

(product photo courtesy of www.madhippie.com)

Mad Hippie Cream Cleanser is described as a “blissfully hydrating cleanser that softens and smoothes the skin”. It contains a good amount of organic ingredients and definitely a great amount of natural ingredients. It had organic jojoba oil, a natural moisturizer the resembles skin’s own sebum and can be readily absorbed into our own skin. It works to provide a protective barrier through its antimicrobial and nourishing properties.

Orchid extract is rich in minerals and moisturizing compounds that repair the skin and slows cellular degeneration. Organic macadamia oil contains the highest levels of palmitoleic acid, an essential part of sebum. It is quickly absorbed into the skin and provides moisturizing benefits. Sodium hyaluronate penetrates the skin better than hyaluronic acid alone and plumps up the skin while reducing the appearance of wrinkles. Algae extract nourishes aging skin and moisturizes the skin. Sesame oil is an antioxidant that has long been used in Ayurvedic medicine, it is rich in anti-oxidants including Vitamin E and Vitamin A. These help to reduce the appearance of sun damage and wrinkles. It also had antimicrobial properties which make it helpful in allowing bacteria to grow on the skin. Green tea protects against free radical damage while aiding in the skin’s resilience through its anti-inflammatory & anti-carcinogenic properties. Sodium PCA is a naturally occurring humectant in the skin that works to hydrate the skin by absorbing and binding moisture the to the skin. Shea butter, used in Africa for centuries, is rich in anti-oxidants vitamin A & E, as well as crucial fatty acids important in retaining skin elasticity. Recent studies also suggest that cinnamic acid, found in Shea butter, reduces the effects of UV damage.
Using this cleanser is very easy. Apply to dampened skin and lightly massage for 20 seconds then rinse with warm water. Follow with a Mad Hippie Serum (Exfoliating or Vitamin A serum) and then a Face Cream.

I love this cleanser. For a natural cleanser it performs very well. Dirt, makeup and grime are removed easily. I don’t use it for eye makeup but just for regular makeup. My skin feels soft and supple after using this, not dry in the least. I would definitely recommend this cleanser for normal, combination and dry skins.

Mad Hippie Cream Cleanser is available from www.madhippie.com for $15.99. It can also be purchased from Whole Foods, Nugget Market, New Seasons Market, Earth Fare, Natural Grocers, and more natural markets.
