Probiotics are good-for-you bacteria that work to improve your health, inside and out. Probiotics are the foundation of all TULA products. These same bacteria that are best known to help calm your stomach are also clinically proven to help restore your skin’s natural balance, leaving skin more hydrated, more radiant, and more resistant to damage in the future. These products are made with clean, clinically-proven, high-quality ingredients that nourish your skin the same way a healthy diet nourishes your body. The products are formulated with probiotics, healthy superfoods, and targeted safe ingredients like AHAs, retinol, and Vitamin C to improve overall skin health and deliver specific benefits. They are 100% free from phthalates, parabens, propylene glycol, petrolatum, gluten, and mineral oil. They are also cruelty free. I tried two of them, the Exfoliating Treatment Mask and the Multi-Spectrum Overnight Skin Rescue Treatment. Below is my review.

TULA Exfoliating Treatment Mask1.7 oz./48.3g $54.00

This probiotic Exfoliating Treatment Mask is great for oily, normal, combination, sensitive and mature skin types. It has detoxifying bentonite clay that provides gentle exfoliation and purification without stripping the skin of essential oils. The mask contains bentonite clay, which detoxifies the skin and draws out impurities. Tocopherol (Vitamin E) and Camelina sativa seed oil have anti-oxidant actions that protect the skin and provide anti-aging effects. Turmeric root has powerful anti-oxidant and healing properties that help reduce inflammation. Probiotic technology protects against harmful bacteria and restores skin's natural balance. Retinol (Vitamin A) aids in skin renewal and collagen synthesis. This mask contains the probiotic strain bifida ferment lysate, which helps to protect the skin's immunity defense and helps provide free radical protection.

In an independent, 4-week blind consumer use study of 23 women ages 25-60, 100% of women said they would recommend this mask to a friend after using it just once. 100% of women said this mask left thier skin feeling smoother but not stripped or dry. >95% of women said they would purchase this mask again after just one use.

To use: apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin (avoidiing the eye area). Leave on for five to ten minutes. Dampen fingers and gently massage the product into skin. Rinse well with cool water. Can be used two to three times per week.

I found this mask to be wonderfully purifying yet gentle enough that my skin did not get overstripped and too dry. I would highly recommend this for sensitive skins, as it does not strip the delicate natural moisture barrier of the skin. It is also recommended for oily and combination skins because of the clay that helps to absorb oil and it could be used for dry skins once in a while if needed. This is a really fun mask to use and I think that many would really like it.

1.67 oz./47.5g $85.00
I also tried the exciting Multi-Spectrum Overnight Skin Rescue Treatment. This is an anti-aging overnight treatment cream that leverages concentrated probiotics and peptides for powerful skin rejuvenation. It is suitable for dry, normal, combination, sensitive and mature skin. It contains Vitamin C, which aids in collagen synthesis and reduces dark spots. It also contains Indian Gentian, a botanical extract, regenerates cells and reduces wrinkles. Alpha Hydroxy Acids increase cell turnover for younger looking skin and a smoother skin texture. A blend of watermelon rind and fruit extracts provide an instant and prolonged hydration boost. This cream contains three strains of probiotics: Bifida Ferment Lysate, which helps the skin's immunity and fights free radicals; Lactobacillus Casei & Acidophilus for skin clarity and redness reduction and the third strain is Bacillus Coagulans Ferment which helps increase skin’s elasticity, decreases pore size, and improves fine lines and wrinkles.

An independent 4-week blind consumer study of women ages 35-55 took place. The results are as follows: 88% of women would recommend this cream to a friend after just 1 use. 96% of women said their skin looked and felt smoother after 4 weeks. 86% of women reported firmer looking skin after 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, the majority of women said their skin looked 5 years younger with renewed radiance and a youthful bounce. 92% agreed their skintone looked hydrated, healthier and more even toned. In a 28-day randomized, double-blind and placebo controlled study, women saw a 48% decrease in the appearance of pore size, a 63% decrease in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and a 33% decrease in the appearance of redness.

To use: apply a thin layer to clean dry skin before bedtime. This cream can be used with other creams such as TULA's Hydrating Day & Night Cream. It is richer and more emollient than most creams are, so you may just want to stick with this one cream. It works to reduce pore size. It is specially formulated with multi-strain probiotic technology to leave skin nourished and balanced. Suitable for all ages and all skin types, ideal for anyone seeking a more potent hydrating and anti-aging treatment. It can be used with a serum and should be. Make sure to use the serum first though.

I happen to love this overnight treatment. It is luxurious and really makes a difference in how my skin looks the next day. It does help reduce pore size, dark spots, and makes skin glow and keeps it well hydrated. This is a product that you need to keep in your beauty arsenal for regular "touch-ups". It is kind of a beauty regime must have. Just like a cleanser and an exfoliant, this overnight treatment is becoming a thing to have now. And probiotic skincare is the new wave of the future. Soon many more lines will have probiotics in their skincare. That does not necessarily mean they will know what they are doing though. TULA does. Their skincare is extraordinary.
