Today I have a few more Maybelline makeup products to review for you. I received these last month and it has taken me a while to get all of them done for you. I must say that lately I am EXTREMELY happy with everything that Maybelline has come out with. They are breakng barriers with their makeup. It is fun, funky and vibrant. Definitely 2018. 

FaceStudio Master Prime $9.99

Facestudio Master Prime preps for makeup application by visually blurring away specific skin concerns. This skin-perfecting face primer is formulated with a water-soluble base and active ingredients that refine the look and feel of skin for makeup that lasts all day. This primer helps to hydrate and smooth skin so foundation goes on smoothly and stays put. Skin feels hydrated all day long without feeling dry towards the end of the day, as can happen. It has a lightweight formula and does not clog pores. To use, apply all over face before foundation or wear alone for a luminous effect. A good primer is essential for long-lasting foundation.

FaceStudio Master Chrome Highlighter $9.99

Highlighter has become so popular that everyone has something now. Not everyone does it well though. Maybelline does.Meet the secret to brilliant and luminous skin. Facestudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter effortlessly envelopes the skin in a molten metal sheen. I love how beautiful their highlighter just goes onto the skin and melts on the cheek, making it look amazing. This highlighter powder drenches skin in a melted metallic finish. Maybelline's pearl pigments leave a reflective finish for a brilliant glowing skin. It comes in Molten Gold, Rose Gold and new Holographic (iridescent).

To Apply: Apply with brush or fingertips. Then sweep onto targeted areas, such as cheekbones, brow bones, and down the bridge of the nose. Blend for a seamless metallic glow. Don't overdo it!

Color Sensational Powder Matte Lipstick $7.49

With Color Sensational Powder Matte you can dare to be edgy in Maybelline's extreme matte lipstick. Now available with up to two times more mattifying powders than the Color Sensations Creamy Matte Lipstick in a collection of showstopping colors. In this lipstick you get a pure matte lipstick, it glides on effortlessly for a cool and edgy look and it is available in a range of daring shades. I tried Carnal Brown, which is a beautiful dark grayish brown.

SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick $9.49

This is one of my favorite matte liquid lipsticks. SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick gives you a flawless matte finish in a range of super saturated shades. Sixteen of them to be precise. This lipstick lasts up to 16 hours long and features a uniqes arrow applicator for precise application. It takes only one swipe to get good color laydown. To apply: apply liquid lipstick in the center of our upper lip and follow the contours of your mouth. Glide the liquid lipstick across the entire bottom lip. I tried three shades: Philosopher (a pretty lilac purple), Visionary (a deeper grayish purple) and Seductress (an autumnal rust).

Lip Studio Python Metallic Lip Kit $9.99

The Maybelline Lip Studio Python Metallic Lip Kit is awesome. It features duos in gorgeous lip colors and prismatic lip powders. You can be an artist with your lip color! Take on the hottest beauty trend with this kit. Make an impact in chromatic lip color with a python effect. First you apply the lipstick with either the base of your finger or a lip brush if you prefer to be more precise. Second, apply lip shadow with finger on top of lip color base and layer as desired to create your own look. It comes in 8 shades. I tried 2 of them: Valiant (purple and copper) and Untamed (black and green).

What is surprising is these look a lot lighter in the photograph than they did in real life. In real life the colors look MUCH darker. I like them a lot and want more of them, definitely. 

I cannot wait until Maybelline comes out with more items. They are raising the bar for mass market cosmetics. This mask is wonderful. It literally melts into the skin, replenishing moisture in the dry winter months and helping to hydrate the skin from the sun in the hot summer months. Overnight skin repairs itself, so it is natural to use the best skincare you can. That is why a sleeping mask is a great idea. This mask help's to boost skin's moisture, leaving it feeling hydrated, soft, supple and downright younger looking in the morning. I used it a few nights in a row, as my skin was feeling dehydrated and wow, my skin was back to normal quickly. 

The best way to use this is after cleansing and toning and after using any serums. Yes, still use serums. Just wait until they have sunk into the skin. This  mask is very gelatinous, so use the stick that comes with it to get it out and then apply to the hand. Then rub it on your fingers for a few seconds to warm it up. Then apply to the face in circular motions making sure to avoid the eye area. It will sink into the skin almost immediately, even if your skin is oily. Make sure to apply to the neck region too. That area is often overlooked. In the morning, rinse and follow with your regular cleansing and moisturizing ritual. Use twice a week as part of your hydration cleansing ritual.

And that's that great thing about this mask, it is for every skin type, even oily and acneic skins. The goal of this mask is to hydrate and moisturize the skin. In the morning when you wake up, your skin will feel soft, supple and refreshed. You will like how soft your skin is and will likely keep touching it and wondering if it will stay this way all day. If you continue to use a good moisturizer with sunscreen during the day, a regular moisturizer at night and this product once to twice a week, it will.

Women will go to great lengths to make themselves beautiful. There is almost nothing will not do to make ourselves look better, especially as the ravages of time start to take over and make themselves more noticeable on our faces. As soon as we see wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, laxity in the skin or dullness in the face you can bet we are on the internet looking for the latest and greatest invention to give us better skin. 

In South Korea they are on the cutting edge of skincare. Which is why their skincare is so popular here. They have the best products and the best regimens. In South Korea they take skincare very seriously over there. A few years ago snail mucus made its way into skincare and became very popular. Yes, I know it sounds unusual but it actually works on wrinkles, skin firmness, age spots, unbecoming freckles, expression lines, scars (even keloid scars), acne marks, rosacea and stretch marks. Which is why it has now made its way to the United States. I tried two of the products and below you will hear about my review of them.

Snail mucus is not how it sounds. They don't just take it directly from the snail and put it into the product. It is purified and processed and then emulsified into creams. It is surprising that this ingredient would work so well on the skin but then again, so many ingredients that you would not think do work in skincare actually work very well. I am not opposed to do this. I just want to make sure no animal is harmed.

I received two products to try, Eco Elicina Snail Mucus Cream for the Face and Eco Elicina XT Eye Contour Cream. That is where the snail mucus really shines is around the eyes. Elicina snail mucus comes from the Chilean snail Helix aspersa. What makes the Chilean snail secretion so good for the skin is that its incredible combination of natural substances. Did you know that snail secretions actually heal the snail and its shell? Yes it does. And that is how it heals the skin. The snails expel the secretion to heal themselves from trauma. They can even re-build their shells if broken. Basically these small creatures are busy manufacturing labs of their own regenerative, reconstructive substance. The Chilean Snail contains:

1. Natual Allantoin: Not like other dermatological product with obtain allantoin synthetically by laboratory means. Allantoin is what makes the regeneration of your skin possible. Scars and stretch marks disappear wounds heal quickly leaving no marks. 
2. Proteins and Vitamins: Resulting in richness and softness of your skin.
3. Natural Collagen and Elastin: The main components of the human connective tissue we call skin.
4. Natural Glycolic Acid: This is what makes possible the skin exfoliation or peeling, eliminating dead cells that are on the surface of your skin, along with wrinkles and expression lines. Since the Glycolic Acid found in Elicina is not synthetic it does not irritate your skin.

Elicina was launched in South America in 1995. Customer reception to it was unprecedented. Popularity of the cream grew by leaps and bounds, based solely on the results users achieved. Today thousands of snails are carefully nursed and maintained in conditions close to their natural environment and no snails are harmed in the collection of their secretions. This cream is 80% snail mucin. That is a lot. Which also means the creams are worth the money you are paying for them, because they have such a high concentration of active ingredient. It is the first ingredient listed on the ingredients list. When you use a product made with snail mucin you are not only using an anti-aging product but you are using a prophylactic product that prevents aging too. It is always good to kill two birds with one stone. 

I found that the Eco Elicina Cream helped with my hyperpigmentation, skin firmness and some beginning wrinkles I had. It made my skin feel younger looking and made it look younger. The Eco Elicina XT Cream is a great eye cream. This helps with dark circles (of which I had been having problems from lack of sleep) and it got rid of them, it helps with small, fine lines and it smooths out the eyes, making them look very young and nice. I am very happy with the results of this cream and I shall keep using it.

The eye contour cream Eco Elicina XT Eye Contour Cream runs $29.70 and can be purchased online at www.elicina.com and www.buyelicina.com. Don't purchase off of auction sites because that cream is usually old or has been replaced with another cream. With something like this it is important to purchase from a reputable source. Right now there are only a couple of sources. Amazon seems to have the same cream but I am a little wary. There are many other variations in sizes of the creams but I cannot list them all here. I just wanted you to know that this is a good product that works and can be purchased at reasonable prices.

Fragrance is personal. Every woman finds fragrances that work for her and she usually sticks to that range of florals, citruses, woodsy notes, or orientals and she stays with them her entire life. Or you could be like me and love many different kinds of fragrance because of my grandmother's intense love of many different fragrances. She kept all kind of perfumes and fragrances on her dresser and I always went in to play with them. It was the best. Of course, when I grew up I was attracted to many different kinds of notes. Then I started getting migraines and could only wear lemon scented fragrances for a while. That finally dissipated and now I am back to wearing all different kinds of perfumes. Thank goodness. I like to wear different ones with my moods. I don't want to be pigeonholed into one perfume.

This scent is made up of several notes: sparkling cedrat, bouquet of cosmos, benzoin, caramel and white musk. What lasts on you is at the end is the caramel and white musk, which leave a gorgeous hint of Candy Florale behind. When you first spray it on you can smell the cedrat and cosmos. They are heavenly. Then they lighten up to a brighter note. It takes well over 15-20 minutes for the drydown to occur. This scent lasts all day long too. It does not give way quickly like other Eau de Toilette ones do. This is a long-lasting scent that will stay with you for hours. I highly recommend it. Another thing, it is not too strong. Yes, it is a floral but it is cut by the cedrat and that makes it less of a heavy floral that will bombard you with anything too dramatic. 

This product would make a wonderful Valentine's Day Gift. It also comes in two other sizes: a 1 fl.oz/30mL Eau de Toilette Spray for $60.00 and a 1.7fl.oz./50mL Eau de Toilette Spray for $78.00. Each one is very similar in appearance. It is good for any age and any woman would love this fragrance. This Eau de Toilette is perfect for just about any woman.

Valentine's Day is the day to get something beautiful. Whether it is for your significant other, your best friend, your wife, mother, whomever, they deserve a wow gift to let them know how much you love them. Something from Nest Fragrances says wow. This line is amazing. They have everything someone would need for home fragrance. I will give you a suggestion though, if you are giving a gift to a woman, try the Japanese Black Currant Classic Candle. You cannot go wrong there. This scent is truly wonderful. It is fruity and floral at the same time. It contains the rich essence of Japanese Black Currant with Mirabelle Plum, Kadota Fig and Sandalwood. You can smell the Sandalwood mixed with the Fig, Plum and Black Currant drifting through the air when the candle scent is wafting though your nose. It really is intoxicating.

This candle burns 50 hours. I now that seems impossible because most candles made with one wick do not last that long. However, I used this one for at least 5 hours and it barely made a dent in the candle. It definitely burned some but you could hardly tell though.

NEST gives you explicit instructions on how to handle your candles with care to make them last longer. Here they are:

The environment in which a candle is burned and how the candle is maintained are the most significant factors in how it will perform. Following the instructions and tips listed below will help ensure optimal results when burning your NEST Fragrances candles.

• Trim the wick to ¼ inch each time before burning. Long or crooked wicks can cause uneven burning, high flames, smoking or sooting. Use a sharp wick trimmer or scissors to trim the wick. Using a dull tool will split the wick's threads, causing it to "mushroom" excessively.
• Center and straighten the wick after blowing out your candle. A wick that has migrated to the edge of the candle glass will cause the candle to tunnel and may cause the glass to crack and break if it burns near or against the wall of the candle. Use a candle wick snuffer or tweezers to gently straighten and guide the wick back to the candle’s center while the wax is still melted.
• Burn candles in a well-ventilated room.
• Keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
• Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents, fans or air currents. This will help prevent rapid or uneven burning, smoking or sooting.
• Before re-lighting a candle, let the candle cool completely (a candle generally takes approximately two hours to cool). Trim the wick and check for unwanted drafts.
• Burn regular sized candles for 3-4 hours at a time.Small votives should only be burned for 2 hours at a time. Burning for shorter periods of time can cause the candle to “tunnel” burn (leaving excessive wax remaining on the container’s sides). Burning for longer periods of time than recommended can create soot on the glass or cause the glass to become extremely hot.
• Burn candles in an ambient of 65 – 75 degrees F.Colder or warmer environments will significantly affect the candle’s burn performance.
• When burning multiple candles , place the candles at least 8 inches apart. This ensures that the candles do not affect each other’s burn performance with the heat they generate.
• If a candle is burning unevenly and the wick is centered, it is in a draft. Rotate the candle 90 degrees periodically to keep it burning uniformly, or move it to another location.
