I tried 2 shades: Fair Porcelain and Porcelain. Both worked really well for me. Fair Porcelain worked the best. I am extremely pale and I am very pleased that Maybelline had lighter shades available in their foundation this time. I believe this is the first time that they have had much lighter shades available. Usually they have a light shade but it is a hair too dark for me. These 2 shades were both great on my complexion.
This foundation, once dry, does last all day long. Also, it does not dry too quickly to work with, so you get a good amount of time to blend it into the skin and to make sure it is well blended and looks good. Once it is dry, then everything is set and voilà, you have a long-wearing foundation that is not drying to the skin and is also matte too. That is something that was not mentioned by the description, this foundation tends to lean towards the matte side, not the glowy side. But yet, it does not dry out the skin as long as you have moisturizer on. If you have oilier skin, this will work well for you. If you have drier skin, definitely wear a moisturizer under this.

I have found this product works very well, just as well as any other sponge I have ever used. I love that it has the flat side to do smaller areas or harder to reach areas. That side is also good for highlighting.
