Hello. I am now a brand ambassador for BIZ Stain Fighter. I am extremely proud to say this because BIZ has been around for a very long time. Biz Stain & Odor Eliminator is an enzyme-based, oxygenated and color-safe bleach, detergent booster and pre-treater for laundry stains, sold in b both liquid and powder form. It is an enzyme-based bleach that can break down proteins.
Different stains require different ingredients to eliminate them. Science has shown that there is not one single ingredient that cleans everything well. So why doesn't every brand put all of these ingredients in? Likely because it costs more to do that. But BIZ® didn't cut any corners. Biz has more stain fighters than other brands. That's why it works better.

Biz color safe bleach was invented by Charles McCarty, a researcher at Procter & Gamble (P&G), and introduced to the American market in 1967. It was purchased it from P&G in an auction held in the summer of 2000 and is now owned by CR Brands Inc. Forbes estimated the purchase price as more than $40 million. Annual sales revenue reached about $40 million one year later.[3]

BIZ® was the first enzyme based pre-soak and color-safe bleach that moms have trusted to remove stains from the family's laundry for more than 40 years.
BIZ was introduced nationally as a "pre-soak" or "color-safe bleach" and later re-positioned as a "detergent booster."  In 1994 BIZ like many P&G brands, was re-released in an "ultra" formula (making it highly concentrated so that less of the product would be needed to achieve the same cleaning results). You may recall hearing "Put it in the BIZ Bag," which meant a garment was too dirty for washing with detergent alone. As a promotion, BIZ distributed large laundry bags to hold the dirty, stained laundry that needed to be soaked in BIZ.

Don’t take their word for it of course! Independent tests show that BIZ® works better on tough stains. Of course, no product will work better on every single stain, but BIZ works as well or better on nearly every stain. See for yourself… Take a look at some specific examples of where BIZ performs significantly better:

I can specifically tell you that BIZ works great on blood. I had a nosebleed, as I have them sometimes and my nose was pouring blood on my pajamas. As soon as I took off my top I poured BIZ on it and then waited 10 minutes to wash it and voilà my top was completely clean again. The blood was gone! Here are two photos I will show you:

before: with blood stains
after: without blood stains

I love BIZ Stain Fighter. I also have used it as a detergent and it performs wonderfully. I know it is not recommended to do that but it does work okay that way. It actually got my clothes very clean, smelling wonderful and all of the stains were gone too (of course).

The best way to use BIZ is to pre-treat the stain. First you apply it to the stain, let it sit for a few hours and then wash it as soon as possible (ASAP). Pre-treating allows you to apply a concentrated amount of the enzymes to the stain so that they can get right to work on the stain. This is a quick and easy treatment that will allow a garment to look as good as new. Wet the stained area and apply BIZ directly to the stain and rub a little bit into the stain. You can either wait 5-10 minutes and then wash as usual or wait a few hours. Some stains may require more than one treatment before drying. Remember: if you still have a stain DO NOT put it into the dryer until the stain is gone as that will set the stain.

BIZ can be used on any garment labeled no bleach or no chlorine bleach. Just test for colorfastness before using:
  • Dissolve two tablespoons of Biz in 1 cup warm water
  • Apply to a hidden area of the garment and let sit for 5 minutes
  • Compare with the rest of the garment – if no change occurred, wash as usual with Biz and detergent

Biz Stain Fighter is designed to be compatible with all HE and front-loading machines. HE machines allow you to cut the normal dose of BIZ in half. If you're using powder, use 1/2 scoop of BIZ which is equivalent to 1/2 cup. If you're using Biz liquid, fill the cap just below line 1 which is equivalent to approximately 1/4 cup. In a standard machine use 1 full scoop of Biz powder, or fill the liquid to line 3.

Depending on your washing machine, there are different methods that will allow you to use Biz powder in your front-loading washer. Please choose the one that will work best for your machine. Be sure to follow the recommendations of the machine's manufacturer:

  • Method 1: You can mix one dose (1/2 cup for medium loads & HE machines, 1 cup for larger & extra dirty loads) of BIZ powder with your powdered detergent.

  • Method 2: If you use a liquid detergent, you can dissolve one dose of Biz powder in 16 ounces of tap water and add the mixture to the wash through an external dispenser after the machine has started to agitate. This is the best method to use if your machine will allow it.

  • Method 3: You can dissolve one dose of BIZ powder in 16 ounces of tap water and pour the mixture into the bleach dispenser.

  • Method 4: You can add one dose of BIZ powder directly to the empty tub BEFORE adding clothes. This is a simple method, but, depending on your machine and water level, may require you to experiment with the best dosage amount. If you notice that BIZ isn't dissolving well, you may either reduce the dosage or try one of the methods above.

I prefer to use the BIZ Stain Fighter Liquid Booster myself. It cleans up to 80% better than detergent alone, it has more stain fighters than other brands, it fights tough stains better than OXI Cleans guaranteed, it contains a unique blend of enzymes which quickly dissolves stains and odors and it is made with biodegradable surfactants (lathering detergents). Pre-treat stains directly with BIZ Liquid by wetting the area with warm water and applying BIZ. Rub gently and wait 5-10 minute then wash as usual, Or add BIZ to every load to boost the power of your detergent.

BIZ Stain Fighter Liquid Booster is available at mass market retailers nationwide. It retails for $4.97 per 50 fl.oz./1.47L.
