Review: Urban Decay Backtalk Eye & Cheek Palette #UrbanDecay #Backtalk #ViceLipstickBacktalk

(product photos courtesy of www.urbandecay.com)

The Backtalk Eye & Cheek Palette. This is the palette that everyone is going crazy over. Named and inspired after the No. 1 selling Backtalk Comfort Matte Vice Lipstick shade, it is a veritable love fest to the color rose. It is a palette that ANYONE can wear. Yes, I said anyone. Let me tell you this is HOT!!!! It is gorgeous. And it is something you need.

Like two palettes in one, this travel-ready case holds eight nude-mauve, soft berry and muted rose eye shadow shades on one side and four coordinating shades of blush and highlighter on the other. This is one of the big trends for spring. These shades are universally flattering on any skin tone. It has a removable double-sided mirror in the middle. So you can see yourself while you put on your fabulous makeup at home, while in an UBER or in the club. the shadows are just as advanced as the packaging: every shade features Urban Decay's proprietary Pigment Infusion System™ for velvety pigments that blend easily, stay rich and last for hours.

Here are the eye shadow shades in the palette:
  • 3 SHEETS (pale pink-nude matte)
  • BARE (light pinky-peach satin)
  • CURVE (metallic rose shimmer with silver micro-glitter)
  • ATTITUDE (metallic red-copper)
  • BACKTALK (soft rosy mauve matte)
  • WTF (reddish brown matte)
  • SHADE (deep fuchsia satin)
  • 180 (metallic brown-red)
Here are the cheek/highlighter shades in the palette:
  • DOUBLE TAKE (rich mauve with slight shimmer)
  • LOW KEY (pink-peach)
  • CHEAP SHOT (medium pink-nude)
  • PARTY FOUL (light pink-nude shimmer)

Here are some swatches from the palette:

You can see how 3 Sheets is so pale that it barely shows up on my skin, but that doesn't mean it isn't pigmented. It is, it is just light. It is definitely a great color and would look beautiful on dark skin or as a lid color.

Here are two different looks I did with the palette. I think the colors look really good on me. Not bragging, just saying that with my coloring these are good colors for my complexion, hair color and eyes. I love the roses and mauves.

For this look I used the following: Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation in 0.5, Backtalk Eye & Cheek Palette (Shade in crease, 180 in transition, Attitude on lower lid, Curve on upper lid and 3 Sheets under brow); Zero 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil on upper lid; Troublemaker Mascara on lashes; Low Key and Cheap Shot on cheeks; Backtalk Vice Lipstick on lips.

Here is another look I did with the palette:

Here is what I used to achieve this look: IT Cosmetics Celebration Foundation Illumination in Fair; Urban Decay Backtalk Eye & Cheek Palette (Shade in crease, WTF in transition and lining lower lids, Bare on upper lids, 3 Sheets under brow), Double Take and Party Foul on cheeks, Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lipgloss in Dirtytalk on lips; L’OrĂ©al Paris Lash Paradise Mascara in Black; essence cosmetics rock n’ roll duo stylist eyeliner pen.

I adore this palette. I think that this has to be my favorite Urban Decay palette even next to Naked 3. MORE than Naked 3. It has colors that really suit anyone's features and is just about perfect. The palette itself is very inexpensive when you think about how much you get in it. You get eight eyeshadows and four blushes/highlighters. That is such a good deal! And they are Urban Decay!!! UD is absolutely my favorite cosmetic company. Their quality cannot be beat. And their colors are absolutely amazing. I just love this company and have since their inception.

The Urban Decay Backtalk Eye & Cheek Palette will be available very soon on www.urbandecay.com and is currently available on www.sephora.com, and www.ulta.com. Also purchase it in SEPHORA and ULTA Beauty stores and Urban Decay Flagship stores.
