Because Kat Von D is a perfectionist, she is constantly seeking ways to improve the performance of all of her products. Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick is a collection close to her heart, so she wanted to take advantage of new advanced in the industry to create an even better vegan lipstick that everyone will fall in love with. She used her favorite cuff bracelet as inspiration for the design. It features the same signature studs updated with monochromatic black packaging.
I was able to try out several shades of the lipstick and use them in looks that I posted on my Instagram page (@iamthemakeupjunkie). I will post the looks here as well as how the swatches of the lipsticks look, to show you just how beautifully pigmented and creamy they are. I have used the old Studded Kiss Lipsticks in the past and I can say for sure that the new Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick is much better than its predecessor. It is creamier, more moisturizing, longer lasting, and also has so many more colors than the previous incarnation. I like that there are colors that match the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, this way I can get either formula, depending on my mood. While I do like the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, it can be drying on the lips and there are some fabulous colors in that collection that I have always wanted but having them in this collection is even better. Also, having the "White Out" mixer is great. It works to lighten colors, create a new color or you can go for an ombré effect on the lips. I tried the following colors: Lolita II, Zero, Muñeca, L.U.V., Bow N Arrow, Plan 9, Lovecraft, Mötorhead and White Out.

I think my favorite color is Bow N Arrow and possibly Zero. Zero looks surprisingly good on me. Plan 9 was the only metallic in the bunch that I tried. It actually looked good on me too, kind of made me look like Poison Ivy from Batman. Muñeca is awfully beautiful too. It is a gorgeous peachy color that brightens the face up. Honestly there is not a bad color in the bunch, that is what is so nice about her colors. All of them are nice and with the White Out color you can lighten them up to a shade that maybe is more suitable for you. I love how pigmented they are and how long they wear. They are just amazing. They are also so much more creamier now than they were before. Much better on the lips.
