I am a sunscreen fanatic. I highly recommend using sunscreen daily all year round to prevent photoaging and skin cancer. Sunscreen is the number one way to prevent photoaging and skin cancer. It is recommended that one should wear at least a UVA/UVB broad spectrum SPF30 every day on exposed skin year round. Yes, year round because even during the winter and cloudy days the sun's rays are coming through and causing damage to your skin. Did you know that people living in Australia and New Zealand have the highest skin cancer rate in the world? That is because they are used to being in the sun almost all through the year.

Today I want to introduce you to a new kind of sunscreen. Skinnies has revolutionized the sunscreen world. Normally sunscreen is made with approximately 50-70% water. Not this sunscreen. It does not contain any water, so you use less sunscreen and therefore a little bit goes a long way. This sunscreen was designed with water conservation in mind, because water is our planet's most precious resource. Skinnies is made with Organogel Technology. This means that it is a gel sunscreen. For the entire face neck and ears only a pea sized amount is needed to cover that whole area. Not only that but it is water resistant for up to 40 minutes, is UVA/UVB broad spectrum, is made from biodegradable ingredients, has not been tested on animals and does not contain any parabens, any preservatives, any fragrance or any alcohol. With this sunscreen you will use five times less than typical sunscreens. Skinnies glides on clear, is non-white, non-irritating and dries fast for instant and long-lasting broad spectrum UV protection. It does not contains any PEG, emulsifiers and is vegan friendly. And it feels amazing! What is great too is that this sunscreen can be used on the face and body. The active ingredients in this sunscreen are Avobenzone 3%, Homosalate 15%, Octisalate 3% and Octocrylene 10%. That does mean that it is a chemical sunscreen and not a mineral one. So if you are allergic to any of these ingredients you will not be able to use it. It is also formulated with the natural anti-oxidant Vitamin E to help neutralize free radicals and keep skin moisturized.

There is also Skinnies CONQUER Performance Sungel SPF 40+ ULTRA Water Resistant. It is a UVA/UVB Broad Spectrum lightweight soft spreadable gel that goes on clear. This one was designed for high performance activities and developedwith environmental artistry and committed to water conservation. A little bit goes a long way.

I was hesitant to believe the hype at first. Sunscreen that is a gel and you only need a pea sized amount to cover your entire face, neck and ears? So when I tried it for myself I was pleasantly surprised that not only did Skinnies (which looks like an ointment in the tube) go on nicely it absorbed instantly! I have never encountered that before. What is so great is that not only did it absorb but it actually left no trace of that there was even sunscreen on my face. I must say that this may actually now be my favorite sunscreen. I just cannot believe how well this absorbs into the skin without leaving any residue on the surface of the skin like other sunscreens do. No white marks, no oiliness, no residue. This is the sunscreen of the future. Only we finally have it now. I HIGHLY recommend this product. It is really something to behold.

Until Next Time~
