This is going to be the third review of a series of five Urban Decay reviews concentrating on complexion perfection. I will be reviewing five different products that focus on giving you the perfect complexion with your foundation. They work in conjunction with foundation to make skin look more polished and pretty much perfect. All of these are Urban Decay  products provided to me for review specifically for the purpose of complexion perfection.

Have you ever wished you could change your foundation? You know, make it just a little bit more matte and add some coverage to it. Well you can now. Urban Decay introduces The Velvetizer Translucent Mix-In Medium and it completely rocks.

This product will take Naked skin to the next level instantly. It velvetizes your foundation by simply mixing in a dime-sized amount of the product into Naked Skin Liquid Makeup or Naked Skin One & Done to create an extra velvety feel, a beautiful matte finish and also added coverage. The result is silky airbrushed-looking Naked skin. This product makes it easy to transform your complexion whenever you want and it will not adjust the color of your other products. It comes in powder form and has an ultra-fine, addictively luxurious feel that is like nothing else out there right now. Urban Decay's high tech formula provides a smooth, soft focus effect for your most perfected complexion, it even doubles as a finishing powder when used alone, setting makeup for a flawless finish. The formula is free of parabens, alcohol and fragrances.

The Velvetizer Translucent Mix-In Medium comes in a gorgeous double-walled jar with a highly metallized gunmetal lid debossed with the UD icon. Inside is a custom gumteal sifter shaped like the UD icon, which dispensed just the right amount of powder. Urban Decay even added a velvet finish to the label and the packaging to echo the texture of the formula. As always, Urban Decay is a 100% cruelty-free company.

When I got this, I thought "Could this powder really do all of these things?" But yes, it did. I was very surprised at how well it worked. I used it with my foundation and added a dime sized amount to Naked Skin Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup. Then I applied it to my face and watched as my foundation had more coverage than before and was more matte looking than before. And I also like to use it as a finishing powder, that is very nice too. It works very well as a mattifying finishing powder. Although surprised, I am not shocked. When Urban Decay says they are going to do something, they do it. Their products work. They do what they say they are going to do. If Urban Decay The Velvetizer Translucent Mix-In Medium is supposed to add more coverage and make skin more matte, while adding an airbrushed look to the skin, it will do it. And it does just that. I love this product. I love that it can transform another product. That is cosmetic chemistry at its finest. One has to wonder how does it do all of these things? But that is for the chemists to figure out. It is my job to report the facts and the news.
