I am a very big fan of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. Not only is their line is 100% vegan and cruelty free, but it is has high quality to it. The pigments always deliver great payoff and they have a beautiful selection of colors. For this spring/summer, their collection is called “The Garden”. I decided to get all of the pigments and one Lip Tar, as I am not really a huge fan of the those as I am of the pigments. They introduced five new pigments: Datura (opalescent pink/lavender), Foxfire (silvery lime green shimmer), Acacia (yellow with blue green duochrome), Triptych (sleek regal gold) and Mimosa (orange with strong gold shimmer). The pigments (or loose color concentrates as they are called by OCC) are $12.00 for 2.5 grams. I got one new Lip Tar in Ophelia (pure petal pink). Their website is www.occmakeup.com.
This look says SPRING! I used three of the new colors and one of the older ones. Smote (warm taupe sheen) was used in the crease. I then took Foxfire and used it on the outer edge of the eye and underneath the eye. On the lide I used Acacia and under the brow I used Datura. I lined the upper lid with Urban Decay’s 24/7 liner in Whiskey. Maybelline’s Lots of Lashes in Black was used for mascara. On my cheeks I wanted something bright and punchy, so I used Lorac’s blush in Rendezvous (bright coral pink). I used the Ophelia Lip Tar. It is described as a petal pink but I found that it went on a little more purple. For this look though it still looked okay. Overall I really like the new Loose Color Concentrates that they came out with. They have a lot of payoff and I had planned on using them wet so they would look stronger but I didn’t have to. To me that says a lot about a product.
