Recently I was lucky enough to get to try Mally Beauty’s Skin Perfecting Tinted Liquid Face Defender. This item is very similar to the beauty balms on the market today. It is worn over or under makeup or in place of makeup. It comes in four shades: fair/light, medium, tan and rich. As you put it on, it blends to match your skin tone. When placed on the skin, it mattifies on contact, it protects the makeup from fading, creasing and settling into lines and wrinkles.
Any one can use this. You can even skip the powder if you want. Apply by squeezing a small amount onto your finger (after applying moisturizer). Dab all over face in place of makeup. Or, use on top of makeup to give skin a gorgeous, fresh effect.
I received fair (lucky for me or I would look funny!). I decided to use it in place of makeup after my moisturizer. It doesn’t really have much coverage, so skin will need some concealer with it if you have any redness or blemishes. What I did notice is that my face looked instantly fresh, not “glowy” but matte and healthy, if you will. I liked that it was just slightly darker than my skin so it was almost just like a tinted moisturizer on that had super powers. I will say that I have tried A LOT of these creams. So many are on the market today. I like this one. It isn’t too dark for my skin and it left it looking very nice, without powder. What more can you ask for?
