Mineral FusionTM Skin-Renewing Facial Scrub is a wonderful complement to the Ultimate Moisture Cleanser. After cleansing, apply to damp skin and massage, avoiding the eye area.Rinse. If you would like to have a deeper exfoliation, leave on longer. This scrub has both physical and mechanical/chemical exfoliants: walnut, white clay and garnet granules gently provide the physical exfoliation while papaya and bromelain (from pineapples) provide chemical exfoliation. Other ingredients such as licorice root, organic aloe vera, cucumber, lavender and rosemary nourish and calm sensitive skin. There are several other ingredients that help heal and soothe the skin, such as calendula, allantoin, Vitamin E, olive leaf extract. This scrub is packed full of so many ingredients to exfoliate yet soothe the skin.
Like the cleanser (http://iamthemakeupjunkie.blogspot.com/2013/05/review-mineral-fusion-ultimate-moisture.html), this scrub is 100% Vegan, free of sodium lauryl sulfate, gluten-free, paraben free, fragrance free (which means that the scent comes from the ingredients), talc free, free of artificial colors, hypo-allergenic and has never been tested on animals. Using the scrub is a delight. It has the same fresh, uplifting fragrance that the cleanser has. After using it (I left it on for 5 minutes each time so that the mechanical enzymes could work) my skin felt very soft. It is always important that the dead skin be gone so that the fresh, new skin/dermis is available for treatments/creams. My recommendation would be that for dry skin use this once or twice a week, sensitive skin use once a week, normal skin once a week, combination skin twice a week or up to three times and oily skin use three times a week to avoid blackheads and pimples. If you have any pimples or pustules do not use this scrub! Leave on for up to five minutes at a time for the dead skin to really get out of the “pores”.
