Edward Bess Ultra Dewy Complexion Perfector

I have finally found the “foundation” that gives me beautiful glowing skin. Edward Bess Ultra Dewy Complexion Perfector gives me lovely glowing skin that is even-toned and looks like I am running around with a soft-focus lens pointed straight at my face. It is what every woman wants but it is difficult to achieve without looking oily or downright shiny and greasy.

The word foundation was put in quotes because it’s necessarily considered to be a foundation. Nor is it a tinted moisturizer or nor a BB cream. They call it a EB cream, a cream that makes Everything Better! It gives the skin a natural finish with a light glow to it, all due to special light diffusers that impart a luminosity. And this still makes your skin look like its natural complexion, only better. It is supposed to impart the look of “healthy, glowing skin”.

It comes in 4 shades, I tried the light shade which is okay for me surprisingly enough. The shades range from light to deep, which is nice because even darker women of color can use this. I do think that there should be a lighter shade though. This lightest shade is okay for me for summer. The texture is very lightweight, almost silky. It goes on with a weightless feel. I have been using a brush for application (UD Optical Blurring Brush). The coverage is sheer to medium coverage, and is buildable depending on how much you want. You could use a sponge with this but it would impart more coverage. This is definitely not a foundation for oilier skin types. I would recommend it for normal skins and dry skins. This is because of the light diffusing pigments and how they make the skin look “glowing”. With this product, moisturizer is not needed. I do always recommend sunscreen however and this doesn’t contain any. Always wear sunscreen underneath! If it is too “glowy”, just dust on a little bit of powder and you can still get the glowing skin.
