Review: ARCONA Pumpkin Lotion 10% #ARCONA

I am just now getting to try products from the Arcona Skincare Studio, a professional line that is sold in salons. The ARCONA Skincare Studio was started by a woman named Arcona in Los Angeles, in 1989. She was a chemist and a pioneer in holistic skin care long before it became trendy. The treatments she made were hailed by Hollywood celebrities as an alternative to plastic surgery, as they seem to forestall the effects of aging. Today ARCONA is known and respected because of its high quality, luxurious formulations and the unparalleled ability to change the skin for the better.

The key to it’s effectiveness are the active ingredients and the way they are combined and processed. They use cosmeutical-grade ingredients, such as enzymes, anti-oxidants and amino acids that are formulated to work synergistically and deliver powerful results. These ingredients are cold-pressed at low temperatures and in small batches so they stay active and effective. Cold-processing is very labor and time intensive, thus making the resulting products usually very expensive. Heat processed products are less expensive and less effective.

ARCONA products do not contain petrochemicals, binders or fillers, chemical stabilizers, parabens, sodium lauryl sulphates, perfumes, dyes, or any other caustic, toxic ingredients. There is evidence that these substances clog the pores and  upset the balance of healthy skin.

I am lucky to get to try out the bottle of Pumpkin Body Lotion 10%. I suffer from keratosis pilaris on my arms and I would love to get something to get rid of those bumps! I think I finally found something that works for me.

The Pumpkin Body Lotion comes with either a 10% Glycolic Acid or a 20% Glycolic Acid that will help to exfoliate the toughest of dead skin cells. It improves the skin tone and elasticity of the skin. Pumpkin enzymes also help to exfoliate the skin. The lotion is excellent for regenerating skin and repairing sun damage. For me, this lotion was phenomenal at getting rid of keratosis pilaris, what is can be known as the bane of a woman’s existence on her body. Keratosis pilaris is a build up of dead skin in the hair follicle (or what most people call the pore), causing bumps and inflammation. It usually occurs on the arms, buttocks and legs. There is only one way to get rid of it: exfoliation. For me, the better way is to use a lotion with glycolic acid, as it provides a gentle exfoliation without a proliferation of new skin cells to enter the follicles. This lotion cleared up the keratosis pilaris almost immediately, leaving my arms smooth and soft. I only have it on the back of my arms luckily! It left the skin on the rest of my body feeling soft and supple. The scent is a yummy cinnamon-ginger scent that will remind you of a pumpkin pie all day long!

Pumpkin Body Lotion is available in a 4 oz./120ml. bottle for $35.00 at ARCONA Skincare Studios. Go to www.arcona.com to find the nearest ARCONA Skincare Studio near you.
