Precleansing skin with an oil cleanser is great for breaking down makeup and cleansing skin. This way skin can be thoroughly cleansed and be healthy. A Double Cleansing regimen is the best way to keep skin cleansed. In fact this is the way that skin is cleansed in many countries. Start with a precleanser, such as this oil deep-cleanser called precleanse. Melt away makeup, oil, debris and more with this cleanser. It has skin fortifying olive, kukui and apricot oils, Add water to transform it this hydrophilic (water loving) formula into a milky emulsion that easily rinses off. Then cleanse with your prescribed Dermalogica Cleanser to penetrate even further for professional results. Formulated with conditioning Rice Bran and Vitamin E oils that gently blend and can even be used in the eye area to remove waterproof mascara. This cleanser is even good for oily skins. Does not have artificial fragrances or colors. It does not clog pores. It contains essential fatty acids that nourish the skin.

To Use: Pour into dry hands. Massage over dry face and eyes to dissolve makeup, dirt and oil. Concentrate on areas that are congested or have stubborn debris. Wet hands and continue to massage, while massaging the cleanser will change into an emulsion. Rinse with lukewarm water. Follow up with Dermalogica Cleanser.

I like this oil cleanser because it really takes off makeup well. So much in fact that you could easily use this and almost not have to use any other cleanser. Using another cleanser after this is mainly just to make sure that all oils, dirt, makeup and debris are just completely gone. After using this cleanser you use a detergent based cleanser to take off any residue from this cleanser (which does not really leave any residue). I like that this cleanser rinses off well after it is turned into the milky emulsion.

Another way to get rid of dirt, makeup and debris is to use these precleanse wipes. These are great for when you are on the go, such as travelling. Each biodegradable wipe melts away layers of excess sebum, sunscreen, waterproof makeup, pollution, and debris that have built up on the skin throughout the day. Add water to transform this hydrophilic formula into a milky emulsion that easily rinses debris from the skin’s surface. Then use your prescribed Dermalogica cleanser for professional results. These wipes are formulated with skin softening Aloe and Apricot oils, conditioning Rice Bran and Vitamin E. They can also be used in the eye area to remove waterproof mascara. This cleanser does not clog pores, and essential fatty acids nourish the skin.

To use: wipe over face and eyes to dissolve surface oil and dirt. Concentrate on areas of congestion and stubborn debris. If desired. wet wipe and continue massaging to create a light milky emulsion. Rinse with lukewarm water. Follow with prescribed cleanser.

These wipes also take off all makeup. I love how you can wet them and they turn into an completely different cleanser when wet. That is so much fun! They are very nice and I think these are great for travelling or even for everyday use (my daughters only use wipes to remove their makeup).

I love cleansing this way, it really is a nice way to get rid of the makeup, dirt and debris prior to using my regular cleanser. This is the primary way to cleanse in Japan and it is definitely a great way to make sure that skin is thoroughly clean.

Until Next Time~
