Review: L’Occitane Soothing Fluid #LOCCITANE #SoothingFluid #skincare

Everyday the skin is exposed to to a damaging environment. Pollution, skin stress, changes in temperature, etc.), which can lead to changes in the skin: tightness, redness and prickling or burning sensations. This Soothing Fluid helps to comfort skin while also helping it  to defend itself against this daily barrage of damaging factors. L’Occitane’s Shea Face Soothing Fluid is a light and airy textured fluid moisturizer that helps provide sensitive skin with triple the daily protection against the following:
  • drying: it helps to optimize the skin’s natural moisture barrier function
  • skin stress: it helps to soothe the skin so that it does not end up red an d irritated
  • pollution: it helps to strengthen the skin’s natural defenses, so that free radicals do not attack the skin, the skin protects itself.

Soothing Fluid contains 5% shea butter and a natural complex of protective active ingredients (rose hip and calendula) that help protect against external aggressors .It is light on the skin, sinks right into the skin and feels very nice. I like how it feels heavy like a regular moisturizer but is light enough like to keep skin feeling as if there is barely anything there. Soothing Fluid contains no preservatives. This product moisturizes for up to 24 hours**. It has been tested under dermatological supervision on sensitive skin and is non-comedogenic. (**Effectiveness test on 14 women)

After use, skin immediately feels soothed (94%*). After one month of use it feels effectively protected against environmental aggressions (84%*). Redness (81%*) and feelings of discomfort (87%*) seem diminished. (*Consumer test on 31 women)

Use this moisturizer morning and night on a cleansed face and neck. Make sure to wipe the pump clean after each use to ensure it is kept clean. I like how this moisturizer just sunk into my skin. Whether it is for sensitive skin or not, it is a great moisturizer. It feels heavy but is not heavy at all actually. It is a thick cream that goes on quite well and leaves kin feeling moisturized, soft and supple. Skin feels great after using this. My only concern is that I wish it came in a bigger size. zit comes in a small 1.3 fl.oz./40 mL bottle that I feel I could use up within  a week or two. I would prefer at least 2 fl.oz./60 mL, which is a little bit bigger and seem to last longer. I think this does make my skin feel less chapped in the winter, less wind burned and less reddened. I really am very lucky in that my skin is not very sensitive to too much but I do get skin that chaps up from the wind. Then my skin becomes quite irritated and red. This cream, will help to solve all of those problems in one fell swoop.

L;Occitane Soothing Fluid retails for $49.00 (1.3 fl.oz./40 mL) and can be purchased online at www.usa.loccitane.com or in L’Occitane boutiques.
