Review: Lumixyl Brightening System #EnvyMedical #Lumixyl #Brightening

Lumixyl, a revolution in the skincare industry, is now available as either a standalone product (topical cream), an aqeous solution for infusion and finally as part of a four part Skin Brightening Kit. The Lumixyl Brightening System is a revolutionary multi-faceted system that dramatically improves the appearance of hyperpigmentation without the side effects associated with prescription hydroquinone or retinoids. This kit builds on the success of the Lumixyl Topical Brightening Creme introduced in 2009.

An innovation in skin brightening technology, the four products in the Lumixyl Brightening System work synergistically to target and eliminate existing hyperpigmentation and to prevent it from reoccurring. For most, these formulations can eliminate the need to use hydroquinone or its bi-products (which are controversial due to their potential side effects). Lumixyl products have been proven to be powerful but gentle on the skin.

The 4-Step System offers a complete approach to brightening that is sustainable, effective and more tolerable than competitive brightening systems that contain hydroquinone. The Lumixyl Topical Brightening System builds on the four products including Active-Prep Cleanser, the Topical Brightening Creme, GlycoPeel 20 Rapid Exfoliating Lotion and Moisture-Lock Sunscreen SPF 30. The products are ideal for all skin types.

The Active Prep Cleanser comes in a 6 fl.oz./180 mL bottle. It is a cleanser with a good number of botanical extracts. There are no sulfates in this cleanser, making it great for all skin types, especially drier skins. To use: massage onto skin with gentle circular motions and rinse with lukewarm water. The botanical extracts in this cleanser are well known for their ability to help brighten the skin. Gently cleanses away makeup, dirt, oil and debris so skin is ready to accept products. Helps fight off free radicals.

The Brightening Creme comes in a 1 fl.oz./30 mL bottle and is applied to clean, dry skin. Apply morning and night. Make sure to use a SPF 30 or higher when using this product. Why? Otherwise you are undoing the brightening that is actually occurring. The sun causes sun damage to the skin so using a SPF 30 or higher prevents this sun damage. This product also has some botanical extracts and sodium hyaluronate (a humectant that will draw moisture to the skin). This product targets unwanted pigmentation, diminishing it. Can be combined with retinoids and procedures. Contains the revolutionary Lumixyl peptide.

Glyco Peel 10 comes in a 2 fl.oz./60 mL bottle and is a brightening exfoliator. Shake well before use. Apply a thin layer to clean skin in the morning, avoiding the eye area. Make sure to use a SPF 30 or higher with this product to avoid sunburn when using this product. Glycolic acid can cause a sunburn or sun sensitivity. Can be used once or twice a day. Apply over the Brightening Creme. This product has been formulated to diminish the appearance of hyperpigmentation with the patented decapeptide-12 glycolic combination technology. It improves the exfoliation of dead skin cells, it helps improve skin texture and tone, it helps to tighten enlarged pores and is paraben and fragrance free.

The final product in the kit is a sunscreen moisturizer. MoistureLock Sunscreen SPF30 comes in a 2 fl.oz./60 mL tube and is a high protection sunscreen moisturizer that will keep skin well protected and also will keep skin moisturized and hydrated. It is a natural sunscreen, with titanium dioxide 8.40%. This is great because many people cannot wear chemical sunscreens. Titanium dioxide is a great sunscreen. It is soothing to the skin, making redness dissipate quickly. It is a broad spectrum sunscreen that has a 100% physical sunscreen with Lumiblock technology. It is paraben and fragrance free.

How was my experience with the system? I'd say pretty good. When I started it I was working on brightening up some sun damage that I wanted to get rid of. Using this kit did get rid of the hyperpigmentation that I wanted to get rid of and it helped to just brighten my complexion in general. It made my skin look and feel smooth, bright and clear. The photos below will show you before and after so you can see how my skin looked.

Above I am wearing just a little bit of BB Cream so my skin can show through. I am also wearing blush. You can see how bright and clear my skin is.

The Lumixyl Brightening System retails for $288.00. It is available through skincare professionals, www.lovelyskin.com, www.beyondskin.com and www.amazon.com.
