CVS Adds Special Skin Centers And High Performing Sunscreens

On the heels of CVS Pharmacy’s launch of the Long Live Skin campaign – and announcement that they are the only national retailer to remove all sun care products with SPF lower than 15 from shelves – I wanted to share a quick reminder about a promotion that’s taking place at CVS Pharmacy stores and CVS.com from Sunday, June 18 – Saturday, June 24.

As part of this campaign and the partnership between CVS Pharmacy, Johnson & Johnson and the American Cancer Society, Johnson & Johnson will donate $1 for every Neutrogena or Aveeno product with SPF 15 or higher purchased from June 18-24(up to $100,000) to the American Cancer Society to help prevent skin cancer.

The Long Live Skin Campaign was designed to highlight CVS Pharmacy’s increased dedication to helping customers on their path to better health in every aisle.

Other elements of Long Live Skininclude:

·         CVS Pharmacy is the only national retailer to remove all sun care products with SPF lower than 15 from shelves and has added more than 30 new SPF+/broad spectrum products to sun care sets that either meet or exceed FDA standards

·         CVS Health brand SPF products have been certified by the Skin Cancer Foundation with a Seal of Recommendation to products exceeding FDA standards

·         70% of CVS Pharmacy pharmacists address patient questions related to skin concerns each day.  In response, CVS Pharmacy is launching a new Skin Solution section in the pharmacy checkout in 4,000+ stores with education and derm-recommended products for top chronic/episodic skin conditions like acne, rosacea, scarring, rashes and sunburn

·         New brands with greater skin health benefits are launching throughout 2017, from preventative and proactive skincare with increased SPF, to more dermatological-approved options as well as additional natural and organic products
