Imagine two fragrances that have been created to epitomize love. They work alone or together. These two fragrances are immersive, they take you into their world, making you feel as if you have been to paradise. Kat Von D has created two fragrances that are the epitome of sexiness, whimsy and love in each bottle. I love to do fragrance reviews because you can be very creative in describing how the fragrance smells, how it affects you and generally what the fragrance is like. These two are some of my favorite fragrances. I mean that. I am hopelessly in love with Saint and Sinner. Wearing them makes me feel special. Let us start with a description of Saint, shall we...

Kat Von D Saint Eau de Parfum

Kat Von D Saint Eau de Parfum is a floral fragrance that by itself is soft, alluring and dreamy. It is a gourmand fragrance that sweetens a bouquet of jasmine, tiaré flower with notes of mandarin, caramel and sparkling Mirabelle plum. It also has vanilla, sandalwood and creamy musk that builds to the romantic essence of the perfume, imparting a wonderful warmth that reminded Kat Von D of falling in love for the very first time. Saint is a poetic exploration of the lesser-known, softer side of Kat Von D. This fragrance shares the same floral soul as Sinner, with a sweet and gourmand twist. Different experiences, shared heart notes, these sister scents can be worn alone or layered together. This fragrance is vegan and cruelty-free.

This scent was originally created in 2009 and has been resurrected with a completely reimagined design. Kat Von D poured herself into drawing the filigree scrollwork that encases each bottle, hand-sketching for months until every detail was perfected. She chose the glass flacon because it reminded her of a human heart when she held it in her hand. It was important to her that the bottle be just as beautiful as the fragrances inside. 

Worn alone, Saint is light and airy. It is floral and sexy. The jasmine and tiaré flower work together to create a beautiful light floral scent that I have never seen in another fragrance. Add in the mandarin, caramel and plum and you have a sparkling floral that is still light and sweet. Add the base notes of vanilla, sandalwood and musk and you have a fragrance that is impossible to not fall in love with.

Kat Von D Sinner Eau de Parfum

Kat Von D Sinner Eau De Parfum is a warm & spicy scent that comes from her most requested collections of all time. She has remade the scent along with Saint, both better than ever. Sinner is dark, sultry and empowering. It has an enticing bouquet of jasmine and orange blossom with notes of vanilla, mandarin and Mirabelle plume. Spicy cinnamon envelops white florals at the heart of the fragrance, while the base note of vetiver, patchouli and wood form the deeper, darker nuances. Experience confidence in a bottle. Sinner is the embodiment of the edgy, unapologetic, and outspoken Kat Von D we know and love. Sinner shares the same floral soul as Saint, with a bold, spicy twist. Different experiences, shared heart—these sister-scents can be worn alone or layered together. The fragrance is vegan and cruelty-free.

I mentioned above that Kat Von D had orginally created this fragrance in 2009 and she brought it back now, working on the scrollwork and the filigree on the flacon, both. They are the same scents just reimaginaged a little bit. 

Sinner is dark and bold. Definitely spicy and warm. I prefer this scent to Saint. Mainly because it is stronger. Sinner is like having to stay in on a cold winter's night cuddling by the fire with a special someone.

I like to mix the two together to create a new scent. Ultimately that is the most fun. Spray a bit of both fragrances to create a scent that is both floral and spicy. These fragrances wear a long time too. I have noticed that they wear the majority of the day. Especially when mixed together. Both of these would make a great gift for the holidays too. Keep them in mind for the holiday season. The price point is very reasonable for the 1.7 fl.oz/50mL size. There is also a 3.4 fl.oz./100mL size for $85.00, which is extremely reasonable and a 0.34/10mL size for $22.00.
