Argan Oil is everywhere in our skincare and hair care markets now. It is like Greek yogurt. Argan Oil is extremely popular and with good reason. This oil, which comes from the Argan tree in Morocco. It is one of the world’s most precious oils and is a beauty secret that the women of Morocco have known about for centuries. Argan Oil is used as a food source, a cosmetic, a topical ointment and also for cooking. It is often called “liquid gold” because it is believed to maintain supple and radiant skin for Moroccan women even as they live an extremely harsh and dry climate.

The Argan tree grows a small fruit, which holds a small seed. The seed is cold pressed to release the oil. Twice a year the tree blooms and the tree is harvested. The Argan Oil used by DermOrganic is certified to be of the highest quality, harvested by hand in Morocco and derived form naturally occurring, actively re-cultivating fields of trees.

In the early 2000’s there were only 6000 trees in the world. The Argan forest became a United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) nature preserve and a plan to grow the forest was put into action. Now the forest has over 12,000 mature trees and is growing. Goats love to eat the fruit of the tree and they will climb on top of each of each other to get to the fruit. The Argan forest is a wholly organic forest, with no artificial fertilization or pesticides allowed. So all the Argan Oil you get will be organic.

The King of Morocco has made the cultivation of Argan Oil a women-only business. The women of southwest Morocco have grouped together to teach each other the cultivation of the Argan fruit and how to preserve the cold-pressing technique of the oil. The purpose of this initiative is to help elevate the socioeconomic status and improve literacy rates of the women of Morocco.
DermOrganic products are vegan and the products are made without animal testing. The products are sulfate free and gluten-free. There are no sulfates, glycols, DEA, MEA, dyes or food coloring in any of the products. And the products are pH balanced.

DermOrganic Argan Oil comes in a 1.7 fl.oz. bottle. I used this product for several weeks so that I could see how using Argan Oil in my routine would help with my skincare issues. I was looking to see if it would make my skin softer, more supple and would just make it feel generally better. This oil can also be used on the scalp, hair and body. Argan Oil has Vitamin E and Linoleic acid to protect and moisturize the skin.

I found that it is better to apply this product first, not after I use my serums. For some reason if I apply it after my serums then I have an issue with them balling up and product is coming off my skin. So, I use this first and wait for it to sink into the skin. That is not actually bad because the oil sinks into the skin very quickly. I just apply a few drop and rub into my face, neck and décolleté. Then I apply my Vitamin C serum, hyaluronic acid and other serums.

Do I notice a difference? Yes. Definitely. Using Argan Oil really helps my skin feel so much more softer and makes my skin feel very supple. My skin feels like a baby’s bottom. I had my husband even comment on how good my skin feels lately and he said it is better. My skin has always been pretty good but now it is even better! This does not have to be used every day but at least every other day is good for the best regimen. I am very happy with this product. I am loving how good this makes my skin feel.

I also used this in my hair after blow drying. I added just a few drops to help with frizziness and it kicks butt. Argan Oil gets rid of all the frizziness in my hair which is a minor miracle! This oil can also be used as a scalp treatment for a dry scalp, it will help get rid of flakes.
DermOrganic Argan Oil is $36.00 for a 1.7 fl.oz./50 mL and is available from www.dermorganic.com.

Until Next Time~
