skin 2 skin care Enzyme Renewal Mask
2 fl.oz./60mL $43.00
I adore masks. They really do help to clear up skin when it is not looking its best and they can be use for just about any skin condition. Today I am going to review the skin 2 skin care Enzyme Renewal Mask, from the same company that brought you the skin 2 skin care Anti-Wrinkle Night Recovery Cream, which I reviewed the other day (click on link here to read the review: http://bit.ly/2CUEfsO). This mask is great for any skin type except sensitive skin, as it has different types of enzymes that chemically remove dead skin cells from the skin. Sensitive skins might have a reaction to this that would cause the skin to become red and irritated.
The skin 2 skin Enzyme Renewal Mask contains Papaya and Pumpkin enzymes to slough off dead skin cells to help renew dead skin, re-rexturize, smooth skin, get rid of impurities and clean out pores. Avocado Oil moisturizes and hydrates the skin. Tapioca and Kaolin Clay helps to tighten the skin, condition it and clarify it. Pumpkin Seed and Comfrey extracts renew the skin. Japanese Green Tea is an anti-oxidant that helps to soothe redness of the skin, also reducing irritation.
To use: apply a thick layer onto clean, dry skin after cleansing. Should be applied to face and neck, avoiding eye area. Can be used one to three times a week. Allow to set 15 to 20 minutes. Remove with or face cloth and warm water. This mask has been made without paraffins, parabens, petroleum, synthetic colors, synthetic dies, or PABA. This product does not contain any animal ingredients and was skin 2 skin care does not do any animal testing.
What I love about this mask is how it makes my skin feel and look. Discolorations are definitely lighter. Pores are clearer. Skin tone is more even toned. And skin is softer and smoother. This kind of mask is perfect for those kinds of result and it does give these results. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. You might feel some tingling while wearing the mask, but this is normal and to be expected. I would not expect the tingling to be painful or anything. If it is, wash the mask off and contact the company. As I mentioned prior, this is not for sensitive skins because of the enzymes in it, which chemically remove dead skin cells from the skin. It sloughs them off by essentially eating them away and skin that is sensitive cannot handle these. If you had sensitive skin in the past, cannot use alpha hydroxy acids, then do not use this mask.
Enzymes chemically removes dead skin cells as opposed to physically removing them, which is more ideal for some people. I like both ways, but prefer to enzymes because you do not get the same redness and damage to the skin as you do with scrubs. When you physically remove dead skin cells you are using scrubs. Using chemicals like enzymes or AHA's is much easier on the skin. The main thing to be careful of is not to use them too often so that you do not cause dehydration to the skin. This mask, while great for almost every skin type should be used by dry skins and normal skins only about once a week. Combinations skins up to twice a week. Oilier skins can use it up to three times a week.
