Recently NYX Cosmetics sent me some of their items for me to try out and discuss. It took me a little while to post about them, as I had to get a new computer, so that put me a little bit behind. However, I loved everything that I tried out. I have always been a huge fan of NYX Cosmetics, ever since I tried them about 6 years ago when they first really burst on the scene. Since then, their company has grown to be one of the most popular cosmetic companies on the market. Why? Because they have extremely good quality cosmetics with great pricing. In fact, I would rate some of their items as the best on the market. Their products are incredible. I have never tried one thing that was sub-par or of low value. Read on for my opinions on the items they sent me so that you can see what I think of them.
Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in Gleam $7.50
Born To Glow comes in 4 shades: Gleam (golden peach-pearl), Sunbeam (pale pink-pearl), new Pure Gold (gold pearl), new Sun Goddess (bronze pearl). Get a lit-from-within glow anytime with this lightweight liquid illuminator. It now comes in four light-catching shades. The multi-functional formula can be used mixed-in foundation, instead of foundation, as a foundation base, or over cheekbones, the cupids bow and the décolletage for radiance that will have everyone raving.This stuff is amazing. I mix it in with my foundation to give my skin a little glow.
HD Studio Finishing Powder $10.00
This little miracle in a jar is 100% pure mineral silica finishing powder is perfect for setting your foundation or for wearing alone. The luminous white powder goes on neutral and works on every skin tone. It leaves skin looking radiant and utterly luminous, not flat. Do use it lightly, a little bit goes a long, long way. I love this powder over my foundation. It gets rid of extraneous shine without making skin look too matte.
Dark Circle Concealer in Fair $6.00
If you have dark circles, then this little pot is a serious solution for one of beauty's most challenging problems. The orange color is perfect to counteract the color of the dark circle. It glides on without looking thick or obvious. Coconut oil provides intensive moisture and ensures no caking. Natural skin-toned pigments work in unison with the orange to provide the ultimate overage. It comes in 4 shades: Fair, Light, Medium and Deep. I wear Fair, and have found that I often don't need to use a concealer after using this.
Color Correcting Concealer Palette $12.00
What is so nice about the this palette is that it contains 6 different shades of concealer for you to have to work with. You can use multiple shades at once or one shade if you need to. Either way, you can conceal anything on your skin. Cover blemishes, imperfections, etc. to perfect skin. Create your ideal shade. The formula glides on for an ultra-smooth finish and leave skin feeling soft and supple. Color correction is very popular right now. It is the hot thing that has overtaken contouring, so take advantage of it by using this palette.
The Avant POP! Palette: Surreal My Heart $17.00
You will find it easy to express yourself with these striking colors in the Surreal My Heart Palette that is part of the Avant POP! Palette series. It contains 10 eyeshadows that have been carefully curated to fit together. Each palette let you create a softer look or take it to the next level. Create your own masterpiece.
Jumbo Eye Pencil $4.50
These eye pencils double as eye liner and as eye shadow. Made with a blend of mineral oil and powder, these glide on effortlessly, no pulling, tugging or fading. They come in a rainbow of hues. They can be sharpened in a sharpener that has an opening for large pencils. I tried Leopard, Sparkle Green and Dark Brown. Leopard is a gorgeous golden bronze. Sparkle Green is a beautiful sparkling forest green. Dark Brown is a very dark matte brown.I love how these pencils go on. They glide on and stay on without creasing or coming off. Milk is a well known color that is often used underneath other shadows to brighten up colors.
Matte Liquid Liner $7.00
Easily line and define your eyes with the precision brush in this liner. This is a makeup artist must have for bold and classic looks, as the precision tip allows you to effortlessly achieve an ultra-fine and exquisite matte finish. Anyone can have the same effect on their very own. This fine brush goes on very easily and with little fuss. I love how I can get a fine, thin line that looks fantastic. You will love this liner.
White Liquid Liner $7.00
Have a beautiful bright eyed look with their opaque, water resistant liquid white liner. Perfect for the lash or waterline.The precision brush helps to create a defined white line that leaves you with standout eyes and a lasting matte finish. I love wearing this on the waterline or on the top of my lashes. It creates a beautiful look that makes eyes stand out. The white opaque look is perfect for anyone.
The Skinny Mascara $7.00
This ultra-skinny mascara brush is perfect for coating hard to reach areas and is amazing for getting lashes from root to tip, especially along the bottom lash line. Finally the smallest, thinnest lashes can get extra attention too! It has a water resistant formula and a micro brush that work together to create the apperarance of long, beautifully defined lashes. I use it for my bottom lashes , which don't really respond well to regular mascaras.It coats the lashes evenly without making them look clumpy and messy.
High Definition Blush $6.50
Available in 24 shades, this blush is one of the best out there. It has pigment and the shades are all amazing. I tried 3 shades: Bitten, Rose gold and Pink the Town. Bitten is a dark pinky red. Rose Gold beautiful shimmery peach. Pink the Town is a bright almost slightly peachy pink. The color blends evenly and goes on nicely. Definitely a very nice blush to have around and the price point is awesome.

This favorite lip product now comes in 12 new shades, making the total 34 shades. I tried 3 shades: Morocco (bright red-orange), London (nude beige) and Transylvania (dark purple-red). This velvety smooth lip cream delivers a burst of creamy color and sets to a stunning matte finish. Surprisingly durable, lightweight and delightfully creamy, it is no wonder that this sweetly scented formula is a NYX Cosmetics fan favorite. Everyone loves this and with good reason. It lasts forever and has great pigmentation. The matte finish is nice but not too drying.
Butter Gloss $5.00
The original buttery soft gloss that is silky smooth and decadent. it is now available in 12 more shades, making the total of available shades 35. This sumptuous gloss delivers sheer to medium coverage that melts onto your lips an dis never sticky, leaving lips soft, supple and kissable. I tried two shades: Tiramisu (a pinky nude shade) and Red Velvet (a dark deep blue red). I love wearing these because they wear well and last a good long time. Lips stay soft and kissable. Definitely what you want in a gloss. So many shades to choose from now too.
